I have a folder open called C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\MAGIX\Movie_Edit_Pro_14_PLUS\VideoEffects\Collage (and that is shown in the Address box) But all that shows in the title is C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\MAGIX\Movie_Edit_Pro_14_PLUS\VideoEffects which is 99 characters. Hi all, I have a small problem the startup order of my drivers, My Antivirus Software wants to download updates upon startup, however my wireless Driver hasn't loaded yet so the download hangs and stops the wireless driver untill I interseed. Is there any way I can change the startup order of drivers. TIA! Dan

Hi i am trying to burn music cd's from the windows media player. It does every thing okay ans says the disc is finalized but when i try to play it on the pc, it says "Blank Cd" and in a cd player it comes up with "Not finalized". Also when i try to copy documents to a cd it does the same, it copys them ok but when i put the cd back in to check i get the message " Blank CD" again. One more thing that may help i tryed a different make of disc and that comes up with "windows does not support this cd-rw format " yet i have copyed in it before in 2006! All the updates are up to date Please can some one help thank you Niall

we have a very small network. We purchased a new computer for one employee and took his computer and gave it to another. we have microsoft office installed on the 'old' computer but now when the clerk logins in on the 'old' computer she can not see the office programs. Help!

Hello, I have a few computers networked and every other day or so, I have to reinstall flash player and shockwave as though it was never installed on the computer some of the computers, something keeps corrupting the software. Please advise Thanks. Paul

Right I have a work laptop that connects to a domain. When I am at home and connect to the domain over the VPN I can access the fileshare on my laptop. When I bring the laptop home and connect to my home network I cannot access the fileshare - I get the error message above. I can see the machine in the Network Neighbourhood - I just cannot see any of the fileshares or connect to them in anyway. (This happens regardless of whether I shutdown the laptop at work or I leave it running when I bring it home). The strangest thing is this used to work (ie. I'm using windows XP Pro high-end system and have a couple problems with various newsgroups or forums... I use the web interface instead of Outlook express; is there a newsgroup on solving problems concerning newsgroups? Here are the two problems: first one I subscribe to newsgroup and receiving e-mail there is always a link in the e-mail go to my post and the response. However probably 50% of time that link does not work on various Microsoft newsgroups. It opens an explorer and simply displays a blank page with the word done in the lower left corner. Everything works perfect except when I go to start, turn off computer, standby, turn off, or restart none of the standby, turn off, or restart buttons work. I am running XP Pro with service pack 3. I have some security programs running that sometimes don't recognize that a particular program or file is safe to keep. I hope I didn't inadvertantly delete an important registry key? are there any techno-wizards in the house? this tech-know-nuthin' desperately needs help from one... all was fine till i opened a document emailed from someone whose docs worked ok before... the latest one i saved to my desktop took forever to open and close... after that, all my own docs also took minutes to either open or close, as well... i've deleted that doc and emptied the trash, emptied my sent email file and trash stored on the puter, done a norton windoc repair twice and an ad-aware scan/repair, restarted afterwards, but still have the prob... my file folders and my final draft program open as quickly as ever, but the windows docs take …

So, norton is gone, completely removed, however, guess what it left, the Firewall, still on. I dont have norton disks, dont want to re-purchase. I figure the only way to get rid of the stupid firewall is to re-install norton & then disable firewall, and uninstall it. I'd rather not have anything to do with norton touching my computer again. how can i disable all firewalls on the pc to re-setup a different firewall. thanx.

Hi, I am getting ready to install Windows 98 on a 1ghz P3 with 512mb Ram system. I have two hard drives a 10GB and a 40GB. How should I partion them? In FDISK I noticed options for DOS, Non-Dos, and logical, I am not sure which to use for the second hard drive. Also which should be my primary drive the 10GB or the 40GB? I have a small network of 3 machines all running XP Pro. I installed SP3 on machines A and B I had it installed on Machine c but uninstalled it because of a conflict with a program that I need to run on a daily basis. I would also like to uninstall it from Machine B but when I do I am unable to get to the internet. Now for the real problem. Since attempting to uninistall and reinstall SP3 on Machine C the "Share" tab is gone from the Properties configuration window. How can I get the share tab back??

When I press the "A" key, caps lock comes on AND an "A" IS TYPED. When I press the Caps Lock key, cAPS LOCK COMES ON and AN "A" also is typed. This hAPPENED after I instALLED sp3 (Windows XP Pro), but I ALSO SUSPECT MY Cat. I've tried to reseARCH KEY GROUPING and key mAPPING WITHOUT LUCK. Any help will be most APPRECIated.Thank you! Steve
