My 200k Server keeps recieving error 2099 in the system log every 2 minutes, it is difficult to work out what the problem is from the event viewer. The only information given is the source is foundations agent and component host Agent. It displays Error: Unable to acquire file system information for %1 Cause: This error can be caused... I have looked through google and other places on the web which are vague and suggest maybe performance logs but they are not configured or compaq monitoring but again this is not configured. Any suggestions v much appreciated

Hello all, I had the windows/system32/config problem following a BSOD so I followed KB307545, I go a bit further because now i have the XP logo at boot with the sliding bar at the bottom but after 10-12 seconds the boot stops and i get an error message with a BSOD that says STOP 0x0000007B (0xBACCB524,0xC0000034,0x00000000,0x00000000) My XP CD xon't let me access the repair console, when I finish the boot sequence on the CD I can only select to install in C and not repair using the R key. Is there a way to make a bootable CD that would go straight to the repair console or into "dos mode" ? Can I get the "6 floppies" on a CD (my laptop has no floppy...) …

The environment is used as DB server of Oracle. The error of "Userenv" fires it in rapid succession. A big problem wants to make it not generated though it might not be. Hi all, Glad to try the new Google browser on my x64, but I have a problem : Each time I open Options menu, Google Chrome crashes completely. No problem at all on my Windows XP Pro 32-bit machine. I know Chrome is still Beta, but such a bug seems very strange for a Google product. Has anyone experienced this? Any ideas? Thank you!

XP Indexing Services
by Guest Kenny- 0 replies

I currently have a strange issue whereby indexing services is skipping one of my pdf's. As a test, I have setup indexing services on two XP SP3 machines, both with a fresh OS build. I can find the pdf when I search on one of the PC's, but not the other (both test PC's have identical indexing service setups and sample pdf data). One of the test PC's is a core 2 due, the other a single core box. I am not convinced the problem is related to hyperthreading, but won't rule this out. Can anyone please help? Cheers, Kenny

Hi: Everything was working perfectly, but not now. I am recieving an error message for all current users (the client window interface) of: To log on to this remote computer, you must have Terminal Server User Access on this computer. By default, members of the Remote Desktop Users group have these permissions. etc. My people were loging in fine, then the project got put on the back burner for 3 weeks with no one loging in or touching the machine and now no one can logon. I checked the settings and they look good. When I try and login, in the Terminal Services Manager window it shows a RDP-Tcp #xx but I can not loging with the above message o…

If you are reading this article then you have probably come to the point where your computer has started to show declined performances and possibly become less functional. Unfortunately this will happen to almost every PC user who uses their computer frequently and changes software and hardware over time. There really is nothing more annoying than having a problematic computer which restricts your ability to work or play games and most of the time these problems arise as a result of registry errors. The registry is a database which stores all important information regarding software and hardware related setting in the form of keys. As time passes and your pc beco…
