Header section breaks
by Guest Kat Attack- 1 reply

I have figured out how to do a section break (Word 2007)so I can change a header on say page 5 but not on pages 1-4. However, even though I created a section break at the top of page 6 (so my changes would not affect page 6 and so forth) it changed those headers to what my page 5 header had been changed to. I did try and unlink page 6 from page 5 so it didn't say Link to previous section. I had to change my header on pg. 6 back to what it needed to be and then link the previous sections from pg 7 and on.... I need to know how to make changes on only individual headers (this is a very long document where I will need to have different revision dates in…

I setup a Windows 2008 Enterprise server on DL360 G5 in February. I have experienced 5 times when I login it just stay at the "welcome" logo, with a continuosly circling circle on its left, and it remains like this for ever. Every time when I met with this problem, I have to force shutdown the server. Is there any idea how I can go about to resolve this problem?

Windows Search 4.0 Outlook 2007
by Guest Victor- 0 replies

I've just installed Search 4.0 and it was set to index my Outlook emails but Outlook kept crashing when I close it so I decided not to have my Outlook emails indexed. I deleted the search plugin in Outlook and have de-selected it in Windows Search settings, but every time I open the search settings, Outlook is back. How can I remove it from Windows search permanently? Thanks.

Using Firefox 2.0.0.16, I keep getting the following warning message ... "Warning: Unresponsive script A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete." for websites like http://www.rei.com and others. What can be done to work around this?

Migrating to Windows 2000
by Guest DaffyD®- 22 replies

My employer has been giving away surplus computers with Windows 2000 installed and I brought one home so I'll be migrating to that OS. I've heard for years that it was a more stable OS than 98. I'll still leave 98 on my old computer but it won't be connected to the Internet. I enjoy Win98 SE but I'm frustrated that support for it among many hard/software producers has ended and there are new online services that don't work with 98. Also, I've had increasing problems with 98/Windows Explorer crashing. I installed a 250 GB hard drive on my 98 machine but it will only recognize 127 gigs. I'm hoping that will be resolved in the W2K environment. I guess where I…

Updates to ORIGINAL Windows XP?
by Guest Cassandra- 8 replies

Good evening! I want to buy a copy of the ORIGINAL WinXP Professional, since I need another copy of the retail edition and I've found the original version (before any service packs) very cheap. What updates will it accept through MS updates? Will I be able to slipstream the i386 folder, to have a tolerably up-to-date version of WinXP? Thanks. C.

JPEG comment software search
by Guest Peter in New Zealand- 1 reply

It seems that jpeg comments, captions, labels, tags, and so on, are often called different things in different programs, and there's not much standardisation between them. After working with a variety of different programs, including Microsoft Digital Image Library, Faststone, Irfanciew, Picasa, XnView, and Windows Photo Gallery, I have settled on the EXIF field usually called "JPEG comment" to add, well, comments to my pics. Faststone and Irfanview both call it the same thing and both can read and edit it, which will do for me as I am comfortable with both programs. The thing is, now I am looking for some program that can show me thumbnails with the JPEG comme…
