My security keeps advising me that MOTIVE CHORUS DAEMON is trying for access. I have kept denying access. Can anyone tell me if this is a programme associated with Windows? Should I admit it or deny still? -- nomy

My 3rd-party app runs a task on a Win2K server. Sometimes, this task - which is created by its parent service - suddenly dies, requiring the service to be restarted, or sometimes the server to be rebooted. How can I get information on why this task died so that I can do some kind of post mortem etc? There is nothing in the event log, so I presume the task encountered some kind of exception and died.

I was having trouble (still am) with clicking on desktop shortcuts I've put on and with some I'm getting the error message, "Windows cannot find 'http://www.theolympian.com/'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search." hello friends, just now i have installed 2 os in my pc xp------------------------ in d:\ but a little problem i am facing ,problem is when i am using fedora only the drive in which it is installed is shown ............ but the other drive is shown through xp ..... how can i mount the other drives which are shown in xp in unix. i am a simple user to unix......... i know this can be done through mounting command but dont know how ............................ help me

I am running a terminal server and have a gpo in place. I have it set to delete cached roaming profiles. I have it set to keep only the windows install information for each user and this is stored on another drive. The problem is deleting the cached profiles was working and now it is not and I cannot figure out why. Has anyone had this problem or know how to fix it. Thanks -- Gary Story Network Analyst

Installed a second domain controller to the domain. Next day windows 98 PC's could not initiate RDP connections with any terminal servers in our network. Only error message is that " The connection timed out " All other PC's can access the terminal servers only Win98 PC's seem to be affected. Any suggestions?

Since 8-5-07 I have been getting a small blue line under the command bar in IE7. This is not happening all the time and rebooting has helped on occasion. After getting all the Windows updated today I had to reboot. Since then I get that line every time I open the browser. I have shut down and waited 10 minutes, restarted and it's still present. Hi, I am getting an error on my W2K Pro machine when launching Easy CD Creator 534 Basic: could not find any recordable drives and the following boot-start and system-start driver(s) failed to load: cdudf [event ID 7026 in system log) CDR shows OK under device manager, but under Roxio shows no drives. Is there a Microsoft/Roxio API driver I need to install? CDR worked OK, until I deleted and recreated the profile of the user. Thanks, T

Hi there, We have a storage array with a volume seen as RAW rather than NTFS. Since several days, we are working on it, with Symantec tech support and their last idea is: "From the screen shots that you sent us, looks like your volume should be in a healthy status with a file system. MSFT does have a fix that may just correct your issue. You will have to open up a support case with MSFT to obtain this patch. This will be their latest fix for mountmgr.sys on windows 2000 SP4. My TS license server is a windows 2000 server, in the licensing manager, it says activated, and it issues licenses to users on it and another 2000 server. I now have a windows 20003 server, the grace period is up, and it won't issue licenses, says it can't find licensing server. When you go into TS Licensing on it, it shows the win2000 license server, but for activation status it says Unknown. Do I need new/different licenses for it?
