We have a windows 2000 system that as mirror drives. This drive has 3 partitions. One of the partitions came up Failed redundancy (page file). In the event viewer I get a message "The device, \Device\Harddisk0\DR0, has a bad block." I would like to reactivate the disk but I am concerned that it will fail. Can anyone give me any advice. Script for Users to Connect to Homefolder (Drivemapping), and 4 shared Printers in Wireless Network Im not able to get my users to logon as a part of a Domain. So i really need help in a script that connects my users to their shared homefolder and shared printers on a W2003 server... Using a preset set of username and Password... I wanted to know if it was possible to use Keyboards and remotes that are for Media Center PC's with the standard XP Professional. I wanted to get a keyboard that has a built in trackball, and the one that I found says it works only with a media center PC (with Windows XP MCE installed), but I didnt know if this was either false, or if there was a work around. Also I would like to get a MCE remote to do the basic windows funtions (On, OFF, volume, music etc.) Any help would be appreciated. Cheers Kevin

Every time I run AVG scan it shows that the kernal32.dll user32.dll and ntosknl.exe files have been changed. I rebooted and looked and all are in the C/win/sys32 tree. Does AVG think that they should be somewhere else? I have the free version and no technical support. I did run a fix that someone suggested but it does not work. THis error is on my XP Pro, home computer and XP Home laptop thanks

I hope I am putting this in the right place...I have a Windows 2003 Server that is used as a Ter minal Server for 50 users...everyone can login no problem and in a timely manner...when I login at the console or using remote dekstop connection as Administrator it takes a very long time for the desktop to load...any help is greatly appreciated as when users call for support and we need to log in as Admin it is very frustrating to keep them on hold while the desktop loads...thank you in advance!

I installed Symantec Corporate on my Windows Server 2003 Standard SP2. After some updates, I rebooted the server. As soon as I would login, it would immediately log me out. I read somewhere that I needed to copy a good copy of userinit.exe to the server's C:\WINDOWS\system32 directory as wsaupdater.exe. I did and tried to login. No luck. I noticed that almost as soon as I finished copying the file to the servers system32 directory, the file was changed by "something" because the file size changed. I believe i had an incompatable printer driver installed which caused the entire spooler service to stop (Event ID 7031)(spooler service kept shutting down over and over again and restarting). I was able to restart the service, however no i cannot open the printers folder to see any printers, nor can any TS users see any printers. it appears even though windows says the service is running, it really isn't. When i stop the spooler service the printers folder will now pop open, but of course there are no printers that will display until i start the service. But when i start the service again the printers folder locks up and i cannot do anything. Is there …

Hi there, thanks in advance for any help. I have a strange problem where the active point of the mouse cursor is not where the cursor appears. The cursor I see is about 1 cm to the diagnal left. For example, if i want to click a button, i have to move the mouse cursor 1 cm to the diagnal left. The problem is intermittent. I also have 2 screens and it doesn't happen on my extended screen, only the primary one. When it does happen, i cannot move the cursor onto the taskbar. It seems to go back to normal when i change to a different app, other than windows explorer (i think). Thanks for any help, John

Hi, I get the following message when I try to open Itunes: "Itunes had detected a problem with your Audio configuration. Audio / video may not operate properly." Also, ocassionally I ge the message "Sonic Focus Drivers Not Found" when I long on to my PC - but not all the time. Help!

I have been using this Toshiba Satellite laptop for about 3 years now and have never had a problem with it remaining on. This morning I had to reformat the hard disk and now it is going into some kind of a standby mode when it didn't before. I tried to chance the power options properties but they are all greyed out. I cannot figure out what to do. There is no problem with the battery and the computer is plugged into the wall outlet. Any help would be appreciated.

Here I am again - in a learning mode. I still can't get XP's 'remote desktop' to work completely. As I said earlier, I have two machines, both with XP PRO SP2 - one is conveniently named 'left' and the other named right' because that is where they are in front of me. Both have the same password-protected user (me) with the same password. 'My Network Places' on both machines show what they should - the two machines in the Workgroup 'MSHOME'. Hi, I've win 2k3 r2 sp2 installed. It is a license server and a terminal server (i've a little network). I've bought 5 license per DEVICE by mistake, i need for user instead. Now, consider that I need to buy other licenses, could I buy ts USER cal? Could a single terminal server handle in same time license per user and per device? thanks. Max
