I have had Google's IE Toolbar forever but now the above keeps popping up on my desktop. I don't have an account with either. How do I disable it? Thanks, Steve T.

Is it legal to change my operating system from XP Home to XP Professional using the same key?

I will be upgrading a computer from a gigabyte GA-K8NS MB/AMD 3000+ to a Biostar 6100-M9 939/AMD A64 X2 4200+. According to MS I will need to do a WinXP HE "upgrade": http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;824125 I've never seen the upgrade option on the XP install disk, just install, repair and the typical safe modes, etc. Am I missing something?

If I enable Automatic Updates for WinXP, it will only install CRITICAL updates, right? IOW, it won't update IE6 to IE7, or WMP10 to WMP11, for example?

If I buy a new PC that has Vista as the OS, can I also install and use Microsoft Office XP Professional and Front Page? Thanks!

While I was out on vacation one of my techs rebooted my one of our Win Server 2003 Webservers. Now Active Directory is not functioning. I get a Workstation Driver not installed Error. When trying to Start the Workstation Service (which is set to auto) I get Could not start the Workstation Service on the Local Computer Error 1075: The Depending Service doesn't exist or has been marked for deletion. When looking at depended services they are are all there. I need my Server 2003 to accept VPN connections for remote access. I ran the wizard and gave a user access to use remote connections. However, after enabling VPN server via the wizard, nobody can access resources located on the server unless I disable routing and remote access (shared folders for example). How can I simultaneously run VPN server as well as shared resources on the LAN? Thanks.

My old version of WinZip was acting up,so I deleted it.Have tried to download a newer version from several sites but get the message,"A device attached to the System is not functioning". I am using Win ME and am guessing that is the problem.Anyone know where I can download a version compatable with Win ME?? Thanks for any help... Charlie R.

Does anyone know off-hand if 2.8 SP1 is included with Windows 2003 SP2? I've looked around and all I have found is that the stand-alone install isn't supported. Thanks in advance!

ZOMG, PLZ HLP MEH! A few days ago I got an error message, saying that one of my files was corrupt, and that I needed to run chkdsk. I've tried to do so, both manually, with the "cmd" in the Run dialogue box, and on the booting up. When I try to restart my computer, I get the message that the drive cannot be accessed. My C: drive, where everything is, is not an FAT32 or FAT drive, it's one of those NFTS or whatevers. The only solution I've been able to find (and it doesn't work!) is to install Windows Service Pack 2. I already HAVE WSP2, and I'm lost as to what to do. Please help me.
