I'm sorry but I can't find any news group to raise this issue so am trying here. I have a friend who has a similar Windows XP setup to me and when using Google he can see all the sites he has previously visited by typing the first letter of the site he wants and all the sites beginning with that letter appears. In my case there is no such facility and my previous sites do not appear as a list. |Is there a setting on Google to facilitate this? Blair

What Window XP version do I need?
by Guest benp84@gmail.com- 7 replies

I just bought an AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ with 2 GB of RAM. Do I need Windows XP Pro to support my dual-core processor, or will XP Home work just as well? Also, is 32-bit better than 64-bit since I run less than 4 GB of RAM? Thanks.

when I put my camera memory card in my printer, a window came up and asked me what I wanted to do and I selected to open with a particular program and checked the box to always use this function/program. I have purchased a new printer and now wish to change this association. How do I. I have looked in the File Types association and cannot find that function-the auto transfer of pictures from camera memory care in the printer to PC or am I looking in the wrong place? -- Old Bob

When you click on any of the user account icons, it freezes, and you wont be able to do anything unless you re-boot. Its a Dell system, fully loaded, Intel Xeon workstation, and Dell hasn't a clue as to why its doing this? Should I downgrade to standard XP Pro? Need help asap!!!

WMI Error

I usually get either of the following errors or both of them together every time my Windows starts up: "WMI encountered a problem and needed to close. EventType : BEX P1 : wmiprvse.exe P2 : 5.1.2600.2180 P3 : 41107bbd P4 : unknown P5 : 0.0.0.0 P6 : 00000000 P7 : 00d7e970 P8 : c0000005 P9 : 00000008 " The time on the error message shows that this error occurred several hours before or sometimes even a day before. I'm wondering why I didn't get this error at the time that the error occurred. The other error which I receive is: "wmiprvse.exe - Application Error The instruction at "0x00d7e970" referenced memory at "0x00000000". T…

Server 2008 TS Gateway Certificate?
by Guest Jay- 2 replies
I am trying to install the TSG Role for Server 2008 Beta 3. According to the step-by-step this requires a certificate and we do have an Enterprise CA running on Server 2003. I am having a hard time generating the required certifcate and could use some help...... The step-by-step says that the Certificate Wizard won't work. I tried and they're right ;-) The only other way (I know of) to get this certificate is with CERTREQ but I can't find an Request Template that will work. Help! TIA
