Hello, I've novel server with a set of applications that i want remote branches to reach, we have NAL on remote client machines. What will be the Windows 2008 TS scenario for us? R, M

I have xp home, sp 3. but the problem started before i installed the service pack. On webpages, i.e. comcast home page, while viewing the fan. Sometimes i can view for a while, sometimes i get kicked right away. I get an error that internet explorer has to close and in event viewer, its the html.dll error. Ive tried different versions of ie and i still seem to get it.. its driving me crazy!!!!! thank you in advance for any help!

hi all, I've a Windows 2003 Server Standard Edition SP2 with 60 "per device" TSCAL installed (12 packs of 5 TSCAL each). I have to shut down this machine and rebuild a new one, is there a way to transfer the call from the old server to the new one?

Hi I have found an article in the past that explained the difference between a User initiated shutdown and a System initiated shutdown. Many of the repsonses to similar questions about "no rdp after reboot" mention the use of shutdown.exe, and this is indeed the fix offered by the KB/Q article I am looking for. However, I would like to be able to qoute the article number in some documentation for some procedures I am putting together. using ntbackup on win 2k3 server backing up 1 folder destination = another win 2k3 server backup scheduled to run every night at 11:00 p.m. the backup file contains folders only, no files no errors in backup log event viewer shows backup & verification successful any ideas?

Hi! I imported a new COM+ Component that was working in 2000 server + IIS and I putt it to a 2003 server for work with the web that i mount in the IIS too. It´s impossible view the website in local or from internet... it say that i haver a problem with the security of the com+. I read that in 2003 the security in the Com+ is more hard than 2000 server and I´m sure that the problem is it but I can´t find the solution... Any solution or idea? Thanks a lot.

Ok so i go into User accounts and there is not a user name in there to delete normally, however in documents and settings there is a name with subfolders and i want to delete this person out of my computer. How do i do that it wont let me. sometimes it says write protected file or always something but i also have a profile name under documents and settings that i want to change the name and there is another named all users and one named guest which are ok but how do i do the delete and rename this is under ocuments and settings ok thanks for your help. -- Dana

whenever I open a web page using a shortcut on my desktop the page comes up reduced to a half page. However, if I am already on the web with a full page, the new page comes up full. When I go on the web from the start menu it comes up in a full window. I think it has something to do with the tiling function. -- tooc2bc

I'm migrating approximately 300 users from Netware 6.5 OES to Server 2008 AD. Have all the hardware in place, but I'd like to save time by using MSDSS. I can't find anyone that will tell me whether this is installable on Server 2008. Anyone know, or do I just have try it? Thanks

I can choose between "Optimize for quick removal" and "Optimize for performance" for my external USB flash drive when I logged as administrator, but it is always set to "Optimize for performance" when I work under user account. Is there a way to let a user work with "Optimize for quick removal" option switched on? Thanks in advance.

Dear All, As you already aware that in Pakistan GMT time change to +1 hour & it was planed to revert it back in the Aug-2008 but now government announces that this will remain same for another two months. but microsoft still not released any patch for this change could anybody help me because my all clients time is revert back to GMT +5:00 . Actuall time in watches are 9:30Am But computers shows 8:30AM Please let me know the link from where I can download the patch for DST for pakistan according to this new change Thanks
