VirtualBox 1.6.4 | Utilities InnoTek VirtualBox is a family of powerful x86 virtualization products for enterprise as well as home use. Targeted at server, desktop and embedded use, it is now the only professional-quality virtualization solution that is also Open Source Software. Some of the features of VirtualBox are: * Modularity. I can't logon to my user account so I'm using KB304449 to try to restore the system to an earlier point. I can get to the command prompt but if I then type the command : %systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe I get the message command unrecognised. If I go to the C:\windows\system32\restore and then type rstrui.exe I still get the same message. Can SKS tell me what I might need to do to get the rstrui.exe file running /or/ a different way to set the restore point Tx

I found that I still have a "Sandboxie" folder although I had uninstalled it. So I decided to delete it but I got a message telling that it couldn't delete a file because its name was too long. Actually there is a a .htm file whose name is 111 characters long. No way to rename, move or delete it. I got the same error when I tried to delete it in the DOS window. Any suggestion please? Thanks Horst

by Guest EricG- 2 replies

Hi I have three PCs all running Windows XP Home Edition SP2. One has Windows Media Player Version 10 installed; the other two have Version 11. When I connect my Samsung mp3 Player (model YP-U3) to either of the two computers with WMP11 the device is recognised by name and appears in Device Manager as a separate entry. It is not recognised by the third PC with WMP10; when connected to the USB Port it tries to connect and then immediately disconnects and no entries appear in Device Manager when plugged in. No software or drivers have been installed for the Samsung Device on the PCs at present as mp3 music files can be dragged and dropped into the S…

Hi, I am having a very odd problem with FTP. Basically, it won't work. The FTP client seems to connect but then issues an error and no files appear on the remote server. The last time I needed to use FTP was in February of this year, and it worked fine. Now, when I try it, it goes nowhere. I have tried several different FTP clients and accounts, all with the same outcome. It is not a firewall problem; I run only Win XP Pro firewall and have tried it with that disabled + anything else that even MIGHT effect connections. I have tried it in Safe Mode with no success which makes me think it is not a conflict with another app - though I don't believe I have …

I am trying build up my service packs on a computer with XP. I had SP3 and wasn't able to install certain updates, so I removed it and now I should be down to the base XP. When I tried to start again by installing SP1 from the Microsoft website, I get to the install part and then an error message says "expected version not present on system" I have the original disk, but I would rather not have to go to the extent of reinstalling from the disk. Is there another way to get SP1, SP2 and SP# and then do the normal updates?
