Got an error “The local policy of this system does not permit you to logon interactively”. The user account in question is a member of Remote Desktops Group. Hi, I need to easily resize 1000's of images on our file server. The best tool I have found for this is the WinXP image resizer tool, but it can't be installed on 2003. I have just been mapping a drive to the server on my XP PC and doing this, but it means I can't use my PC while I do this as it uses all the CPU and memory. Is there a simple tool for 2003?

hope Adobe personell read this;;;;;;;;; how Weak of you to deny certain computer users of the necessary, Adobe product........ even though it is free, you deny win98 users knowing full well they will have to 'update' to 'something', in order to utilise a .pdf. (ps,,,, i Hate pdf's) (ie,, forcing them to 'update' to xp or 2000 or nt or vista,,, and no, i dont give a damn that i typed them out of order... ) today, a friend, non-computer user, brought to me a second-hand 'set top box' so he could tune into the newer high definition channels on the telly,, but he doesnt have a manual on how to plug what into what. i said i would download a manu…

All the other computers (except Vista) see each other and see the Vista machine but can't read the shared files/folders on the Vista machine nor can the Vista machine see the other machines' shared files and folders? The Vista machine has Vista Home Premium. -- Woodzy http://www.rtdos.com

I have a backup script that I'm gooing to run through task scheduler. I can use TS to run the Mon backup script every Monday and the Tuesday....etc. But I also have another task that runs a seperate backup at the end of each month. So, can I easily program the Monday task, for example, to run all Mondays except a specific Monday that turns out to be the last day of the month? Or am I going to have to spend a little cash? Thanks, Jeremy

PC freezes, rectangles shown on display
by Guest CrazySaguaro- 4 replies

Has anyone ever seen an error like this? The PC freezes once or twice a day with these crazy rectangles on the display. The PC has Windows XP and is a Lenovo T60. Windows doesn't even have time to respond and no errors are logged in the System Log that I can see. Upon a hard restart, Windows does not show the F8 boot message or come up with any errors/popups when I reach the desktop. Pictures of errors: http://ginab.net/crashes/pccrash1.jpg http://ginab.net/crashes/pccrash2.jpg http://ginab.net/crashes/pccrash3.jpg Thanks for any help. -Gina
