Hi, using server 2008 (32/64 version) i noticed mount points are recursive followed especially in this case (see steps 1-2), has anyone knows how it can be stopped? step 1 ) mounting shadow copy of volume X on volume X step 2) create additional shadow copy of the same volume X and mount it again on volume x(different location) as result the second mounted shadow copy(step 2) contains the first mount point of the previous shadow(step 1) 1. in server 2003 the behavior was different, mounted shadows where not followed 2. now the first mount point as two paths, the original and inside the second mounted shadow copy 3. after few steps a…

I have been trying to install SP3 on my Windows XP PC. Each time I try I get the following error:- drwtsn32.exe - Application error. The instruction at "0x5780e1c0" referenced memory at "0xddc20074". The memory could not be read. The only way to get out of the problem is to manually turn the machine off and restart.

I downloaded and installed SP3 a couple of days ago and now I cannot get my Outlook Express (I believe it is 6.0) to send e-mail. It receives it just fine. Can anyone help me with a fix for this? I apologize if this was already covered but I couldn't find it with a search. Thanks!

Sony PCVRS series WIN XP PRO V-2002 SP3 INTEL{R} Pentium{R} 4 CPU 3.20GHz w/ HyperThreading, 1.50GB RAM DDR ATI Radeon 9200 128MB ( DVI, TV-OUT, VGA) Alright here is the Problem. BLUE SCREEN ERROR comes up everytime my computer tries to go to either sleep or ScreenSavor or Standby mode. This BLUE SCREEN ERROR pops up everytime when the computer is not used for more than 15 or so. I tried to change the standby settings and ScreenSavor setting by getting the mins to longer and so on. My daughter has a Dell 1GB desktop that came with Win 2k Pro SP3. The new printer requires SP4. Would like to know where I can get it. Does it automatically install or is it a download to install. I would like to download it with my Win 98SE machine to a CD and then install it on her machine. Her machine is running well so I'd prefer not to install any other patches other than SP4. They use the machine for business so it's important to keep it up and running. Would appreciate help with this. I searched the group but found no specific info. How can add, delete, change, or edit settings for default user or new accounts *PRIOR* to the person logging in? Everytime I create a new non-admin user account, I have certain applications attempt to run (even though they are NOT in HKLM/Run or Start>Startup for all users but wind up in the current users settings), somehow these apps are running in the current users settings and not per user (does this make sense)? Hello all, I have an extra drive showing up in the Explorer window designated as "DVD-RAM Drive (G:)" which I think was created by Alcohol 120% software program. I uninstalled Alcohol but the Virtual drive still appears and is using a drive letter. Is there any way to get rid of it? -S

After updgrading to SP3 when I run Diskeeper Lite, I get the error msg "MMC has detected an error in a snap in. It is recommended that you shut down and restart MMC."

I have a large (1TB) SATA drive that I've installed in an ICY Dock external enclosure with a USB connection. The device is recognized and installed in my XPSP3 system under VMWARE but NOT in my workaday system. The New Found Harware wizard just grinds away searching for a driver but to no avail.
