Why does my Iphone 11 feels like its running on 30fps when scrolling or even swiping and navigating on the homescreen and settings. Even when low power mode is turned off it still feels too sluggish and even stutter. This occurred shortly after updating to ios 18, I thought it would be resolved with the stable ios 18.2 but no. I am trying to activate a specific focus automatically when I reach home, but the feature to do this seems broken in ios 18.2. So I came across this old Mac g5. It's password protected and I don't know the password. I also don't have a Mac keyboard. All the videos I watched said to shut it down and then press windows button plus r or s. I've done this 15 times now and it won't take me to the recovery menu. Is it because the Mac hasn't recognized my keyboard? I can't do anything on the computer except type the password or shut it down. Does anyone have any other ways to get around the password? Hi all, just picked up my M4 Max MacBook Pro 16 inch. Super exciting setting it up but the photos app is running into some issues. When I open the app it says the library could not be opened (3143). I tried making another library without any success. Now I have three libraries and a photos app that doesn’t work. I am moving 500GB worth of files between two external drives using CCC. Most of the files are music and photos and few are video files. source drive is a WD formatted in NTFS and destination is a WD formatted in ExFAT. The tool has copied 10GB worth of files in 5 hours. Hey guys, Im having installation trouble with MacOS, i've tried so much im at my wits end a bit, so any help is appreciated. I've recently upgraded some older iMacs and put SSDs in the devices. I always boot into Internet Recovery, which error's me on installation: ''An error occured while preparing the application, please try again'' I formatted the drives as MacOS Journaled (Extended) and has a GUID partition map. When internet recovery didnt work, I created installation media with transmac and downloading the Sierra dmg from Apple's website. But i can't get it to boot off the USB. In windows if you right click anywhere in an opened folder window, there is a choice “Open In Terminal”, and you can launch a shell in the same directory as the folder. In Mac there seems not such options to open a builtin terminal. I installed iTerm2, and iTerm2 has a service “New iTerm2 windows here”. But first you have to click on a file, and second the certain service is in the secondary menu. So it’s not a high efficiency way. I have to hold down Option key to view the option to boot to Mac OS. What is the best way to delete these partitions so that the SSD behaves exactly as though it were originally a Mac SSD? I'm in the process of removing all of my personal data from my work MacBook. I just don't want anything personal on it. One of the first things I did was log out of iCloud. However I thought it remove all of my passwords from my Mac as well, but they are still there. I fear that if I try and delete them all now I would lose them on my personal Mac, iPhone, iPad, etc., even though I logged out of iCloud. So now I'm not sure what to do. I currently use an AppleTV 4K as my home entertainment hub, with two of the classic HomePods as my speakers connected to my OLED TV. It’s a decent setup, but I’ve always thought about the benefits of swapping out the AppleTV with a Mac Mini and having that be my defacto hub. Not sure if any of you have thought about doing something like that, but there are benefits - assuming that using my TV as a computer monitor doesn’t somehow mess up the fps. Instead of having dedicated apps, I’d be streaming straight from the sites, and with the right VPN I could also stream from websites that I don’t otherwise have access to in my home country (Canada). My system recently updated to Sequoia 15.1.1. Since then, every time I restart, my Bluetooth mouse needs to be paired again. It's an offbrand Bluetooth mouse that has worked perfectly up to this point. Now, when the mouse disconnects, it does not reconnect by itself. The mouse's name will be in the connected Bluetooth devices list, but the blue searching light on my mouse is blinking. Its name also appears in the nearby devices, the exact same name as what's in the already paired devices. If I pair with the nearby one, it just duplicates in the already paired devices list. I'm experiencing a strange issue with my new Mac mini M4 and Spaces. I've configured the Mac to reopen all windows after a restart, which it does as expected. However, I have various applications, docs, and browser windows spread across 8 Spaces. When I restart the Mac, it reopens all the windows, but it doesn't remember which Spaces they were in. As a result, all the windows are opened in the first Space, and sometimes in the first and second Spaces, while the rest of the Spaces remain empty. I've been using a USB-C to HDMI cable for a while now to stream DRM-protected video (Netflix, HBO) to an external monitor, but since the update I can no longer play DRM videos at all (neither on the built-in screen nor the external monitor) with the cable connected on my M2 Air. Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas for a solution? If it hadn't worked before I'd assume the cable isn't HDCP compatible, but it consistently worked fine before the update.
