Hi, I currently have an M2 MacBook Air and I’m concerned about my posture as far as if it’s possibly contributing to my neck soreness or if it’s mostly just anxiety. I have the laptop propped up on books so that it’s eye level and I plan on getting an external mouse as well, I like the Touch ID on the keyboard which is why I kind of want to continue to use the keyboard but will be making my posture a lot worse by doing this instead of using an external keyboard? I’m not tech savvy but I had an old 13inch MacBook Pro 2017 that has served me faithfully though a science and nursing degree, and I was a BIG fan of using the stickies app to have a timetable set on my desktop and keep track of all sorts of things. I have a MacBook Air with only 4GB of storage left, and my Messages app is taking up 30GB. I need around 26GB of free space to perform a software update. If I sign out of Messages, will that free up the 30GB? Also, when I log back in, will all my messages, pictures, and videos be restored? So here’s my dilemma . . . I currently have a 512gb Mac Mini, I’m looking to upgrade to a newer 512gb Mac Mini. On my current device, I have 280GB available storage (with iCloud photo library turned to optimize storage). I performed a Time Machine backup on a 1TB external SSD, and it took up about 700GB of storage. So my question is, do I need to now purchase a 1TB Mac Mini to properly restore Time Machine backup? I am assuming, not sure, but assuming that the Time Machine backup downloaded and saved all of my photos full res directly to the external SSD. Just bought a brand new M4 Mac Mini. It works great but theres one big issue. It simply refuses to go to sleep. I press the sleep and it wakes up almost instantly. It did sleep no issues the first day I got it but now it won't. I've had it for about a week now. This is not an issue with my M1 MacBook. Has never had that issue before there. Just my M4 Mac Mini. I tried disconnecting my external SSD. And even turning off my bluetooth devices. It goes to sleep perfectly fine if I were to restart and then sleep it at the login screen. My wife bought a new MacBook Pro for work yesterday. She currently uses a 27" iMac with two external monitors connected creating a three display workspace. She is very used to this setup and went with the high-end MacBook with the idea of re-creating the same setup with the MacBook docked in clamshell mode. This way she could also just undock the MacBook and take the system with her when she travels. It seems as though the employees at Apple were a bit stumped when recommending a dock that is capable of this. It sounds like most of these docks have dual external monitor support, and that is actually a limitation of the M4 Pro models as opposed to the M4 Max. One Apple …

M3 and prior require dedicated HDMI, but 3 generations in, and I've found the HDMI ports to be, across the board, extremely fragile and finicky, and would like to never touch them again if at all possible. I’ve been using the phone since release- and it’s been great except for two only issues. Almost every day it crashes and gives the black circle for 5 seconds.
