At first I thought it was just chrome as only chrome seemed to cause the flickering lines, but its currently also flickering on spotify and word... I tried going into recovery mode and reinstalled the iOS update, but it did not help. I want to avoid having to bring my mac into a store because of cost concerns. Hi everyone, I’m looking to purchase a laser printer for my home office. I used to have an Epson ecotank and I printed everyday. But now I don’t think I print that much so laser would be better I guess. I just need a simple printer, with auto-duplex, and color. No need for scanner/copier/fax… I currently look at Brother HL. I had purchased Microsoft 365 recently and I tried setting it up. I have an Apple ID and when I go to settings I can see it but after typing in my password it tells me "This Apple ID has not yet been used with the App Store. Please review your account information." I click review and type in all of my info correctly, it tells me to contact iTunes support for assistance. An application that I've used for 30 years in my profession, MakeMusic Finale, is being sunsetted in August 2025. All users will have to migrate to new music notation software (Sibelius, Dorico, or MuseScore) but it is going to take most of us years to convert hundreds or thousands of musical scores into whichever new application we choose. To complicate matters, Finale is likely to break on Sequoia (OS15), so it's important to 1) establish a legacy machine that will run Finale for as long as possible and 2) never update its OS beyond Sonoma (OS14). I’ve a MacBook Air M3 13-inch for a few months now, but I only set it up and started using it about two or three weeks ago. I used it to write a term paper in LaTeX, and then I left the MacBook in sleep mode, closed and unused on my desk, for about 1.5 weeks. When I left it, the battery was at 80%, but now it’s down to 50%. A 30% drop in sleep mode without any usage seems like a lot to me. It wasn’t connected to the charger, no adapters were attached, and the Bluetooth mouse and keyboard were disconnected. So I got an iMac out of the trash and it had somebody else’s account on it so I replaced the hard drive with the windows SSD and it turned right on and booted right into windows 11 and works fine. I need to install the windows drivers so I can access the internet and updates my drivers and windows. So if I was to install macOS on this drive theoretically wouldn’t it just boot in the macOS? I figure that if it doesn’t boot into Mac OS then I’ll just use that drive I have in it on windows. I have an old Mac Mini 2010 that is still running decently (16GB RAM, 512GB SSD) and that I wanted to repurpose as a small Windows 10 machine for lightweight "office" usage (Windows 10 because the machine is otherwise stuck with an old macOS version without recent browser compatibility). Installation of Windows 10 to a clean SSD (straight from a USB stick created from an official ISO image, not using Boot Camp) went well, until the machine automatically installed the GeForce 320M video driver. I have noticed something, and maybe I’m crazy, but when I use a fast charger, yes my phone charges fast, but it also dies faster. This is in comparison to standard charging.
