I noticed that some of my files either stop opening after some time or the content within completely disappears. Files bot opening are pdfs and content disappearing are like pngs. But the title and all of the image for example remains but when you click it its just empty white image. I regularly free up space and have updated recently. After the very few big apps that used it (Etsy and TikTok) killed it for some reason sometime in 2022, I thought the feature was largely dead. Seeing it now, and from a Meta app of all companies, is a very pleasant surprise. What other big apps still use it? I am trying to upload a backup of my messages to my windows PC so I can transfer them to my new Android. Everywhere online says to use iTunes, but for the past hour the only thing I've been able to find on iTunes is podcasts. I can't do anything on my iCloud app either. Turns out the battery just had a loose connection, I could just push the cable back in. I also cleaned out the fan and changed the thermal paste, and I installed Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan on it. Now it’s being sold for 100 dollars, and being given to its new owner. Which basically means, I made money from this MacBook, which is awesome! I've been ignoring this message for over a year now and I've noticed when my macbook isn't plugged in, it drains to 0% within 20-30 minutes. I've had no other issues with my computer except for this. Hi, I don’t know if this is the right place to ask for help but I recently got my hands on a Mac Pro 3,1 that is not booting. When I press the power button the white led stays steady and the fans start. I don’t know almost anything about this computer, other than the fact that this unit may have been diagnosed with a bad power supply, but it’s not guaranteed. Hi everyone, I just ordered the macbook air m3 15“ in the 256gb version. It‘s simply for office tasks at work, really nothing special and I won‘t be installing much stuff on it and for files etc we have a dedicated cloud at work. I own a gaming pc for personal things and gaming obviously so all personal stuff and apps will be installed there. Now I‘ve heard that the base version with 256gb has some flaws regarding speed. Wondering if anyone knows the answer for this. My mom’s MacBook (2014) keeps hanging at the start up bar. Gets 80% there and just stops. I’ve done a ton of diagnosing and it seems to be an issue with the os. Can’t boot in safe mode etc…. Before I do anything like reinstalling the os I wanted to try to get her files off and safe. If I boot in single user mode I can see the files using ls and cd to navigate around. Before anyone says it, yes I know I'm really behind on updates. I've had this Mac for ages, its been on Mojave for a long time and I kinda just let updates fall by the wayside. However, a lot of apps are starting to lose support for Mojave, so I've been trying off and on to update it to Catalina.
