I have an glitch with the Messages App and I could use your advice to correct it. This issue existed in previous iOS versions so its not unique to iOS 17. When I open the Messages app on my iPhone or iPad, the name at the top of the app screen is not mine. The name is someone I know, but its not my name (Paul). Hi all. I got my iPhone 15 Pro on launch day. Since then I have had worsening issues with dropped sound and static when streaming. I wear Oticon Real. Tried all usual solutions with Apple to no avail. My iPhone 8 with iOS version 16.4.1 is not showing my extensive bookmarks. In place of the comprehensive bookmark list are just a few bookmarks under the heading, "Frequently Visited". I tried rebooting my iphone, which usually resets any irregularities. Not this time. Any ideas why this might have happened? My latest backup was made on 10/9, about 2 1/2 weeks ago, not ideal. I found my old iPhone 4. The battery expanded and busted open the back of the case. After having the battery replaced, I ran into a second problem. Apparently many years ago, my kid must have found the phone and tried putting in the passcode incorrectly enough times to cause it to become disabled. Just updated my iPhone 15 Pro Max to iOS 17.2 Public Beta 1. After updating the iPhone went to "Attempting data recovering" (first time this happens to me) and after a long wait for a progress bar to fill it went back to normal but Settings notified me that there's an issue with Apple Pay.
