I had an automation set up on my phone to play podcasts when I connect to my cars Bluetooth since the phone would try to play music 80% of the time I connected. This has worked great for months. Since iOS 18 though it no longer just keeps playing the episode I was listening to along with the queue I had. Now it just starts playing whatever it decides should go in the ‘up next’ category. It doesn’t seem to do this if I disable the automation, but then it doesn’t always start playing podcasts when I connect to the car. When I’m in my messages app and tap on a contact icon, it normally takes me to the text page where I can see our entire history of shared photos and links. Every single contact is like this now and I definitely have not deleted them. When I actually scroll through the history of the messages themselves, I can still see photos and links, but just not the quick view on the second page Has this happened to anyone? Hello all! I am wondering if any of you have experienced the weirdness I am experiencing lately. I use Opera as my default browser and did my best to delete all traces of safari.... yet any time an app needs to open a browser window, it will ONLY initiate in safari (which inevitably does not work because I do not have it installed). This only started happening after I last updated. It's weird and it means I now can't log in to any of my Google apps on my phone. Has something like this happened to you? I’m new to iPhone, and I came across some posts saying that if you add photos to a shared album in the iPhone Photo Library, they’re stored in the cloud but don’t use up your iCloud storage. Before risking any valuable photos, I wanted to ask: Is it true that shared albums don’t count against iCloud storage? What happens to the shared album photos if I switch to a new iPhone? Feels like I'm in the minority, but that might just be a Reddit thing. All of the UX issues that iOS 18 smacked my phone with seem to have been resolved. None more important than the widget sizes lining up correctly now (I say in only partial jest)! The tinting/dark-mode flowing through to the entire interface is a nice touch that should have existed at release. Obviously, many of these fixes are very low-hanging fruit, but my phone feels like a solid Apple product once again. I’m constantly experiencing touch issues across several different apps—touch doesn’t register on either of my iPhone 15 Pros. Restarting or quitting the app is the only fix, and it’s driving me crazy. Are you guys experiencing a similar issue? Is there any fix for this? Apple, fix your software. I’ve got 2 outlook inboxes in my mail app. I tend to delete my bin and spam folder quite regularly. Since the upgrade to iOS18.2 though, one of the mailbox keeps on asking me if I’m sure I want to delete the emails (across server…?) whilst this doesn’t happen on the second account. I checked the settings for mail and I have the confirmation of deletion toggled off. I’m confused about why this is happening… any ideas? Ok so if my bluetooth earbuds are connected to my android, and I try to connect to them on my iphone, they disconnect from my android and connect to my iphone, no problem. If the buds are connected to my iphone, and I click to connect to them on my android, it connects right away, no problem. HOWEVER If the buds are connected to my iphone, and I click to connect to them on my Macbook Air, The iphone stubbornly refuses to allow them to disconnect automatically. I have to physically pick my iphone up and disconnect the buds before going back to my Macbook Air and connecting the buds. Title is self explanatory. iPad says it has 54gb of used storage out of 64. What gives? Next course of action, my iMessage takes up 28gb of storage on my iPad. What is this dumbass system where if you delete messages from device it deletes messages all the way around. Seems like a ridiculous and obvious oversight on Apple’s part entirely. I’ve not installed iOS 18.2 because I don’t have the storage, so maybe that’s the problem but I can no longer download images from apps, or upload them either, I just get error messages, I would show an example with Reddit but I can’t even upload an image to show it, it just says reddits needs access to my photos, go to iOS settings and Reddit to enable, but everything is already enabled. Things used to work just fine and now I can’t upload or download images from anything and every app tells me to just allow it in settings, which everything is already allowed, and a button which takes me straight to its settings as well so I know I’m not looking in the wrong place sub…

I have a few questions about text replacement in iOS. First, when I type my shortcut, I can get it to be entered by either tapping the spacebar or tapping the suggestion above the keyboard. Either way, it puts a space at the end. Is there a way to NOT have this space? Because I use it to populate my email address, and some form fields don’t accept the extra space after my email when logging in. So I always have to backspace after entering my shortcut. Second question: I want to be able to finish a word without spaces in it where the end of the word is a shortcut phrase. Say my phrase is “@emaildomain.com” and my shortcut is “eml”. I want to be able to type “namee…
