So i had this Accelsior collecting dust for some time while the Windows install in my 5,1 is at one of the slow SATA-ports. Idea was to speed it up a little, at least to the SSDs potential, by using this PCIe-card. It's a Win 10 legacy install from DVD, updated to Win 11 Enterprise. It sits on it's own SAMSUNG 860 EVO 1TB. Boots fine at any of the normal SATA-ports, trays as well as in the optical departement. But with the Accelsior it just does not. Hello! I have recently purchased a Mac Pro 2019 with 3.2 GHz 16-Core Intel Xeon W and 2 x AWD Radeon Pro Vega II - with the afterburner card and 192MB Ram. I am using this computer for video editing. Hello everyone, My Mac Pro 4,1>5,1 was down yesterday after updating to Venture 13.7.2 using OCLP 2.2.0. I have a 2018 Mac Mini sitting in a drawer—I got it in 2021 to use in an office at a job from which I was fired in 2022. It's just been sitting there. . . Hey everyone! I’m starting a program in Internet of Things and Machine Intelligence, and the college recommends using a Windows-based laptop. However, I already have a MacBook Pro M2 and would prefer not to switch to Windows. The courses include topics like networking, data analytics, programming, embedded systems, AI applications, and robotics. so do you think using Windows on ARM via a VM software like Parallels would work on these courses? and Has anyone taken a similar program or used a Mac for this kind of coursework? Hello, I was wondering, in the event of a catastrophic failure of my calendar hosting provider (Infomaniak), if I could restore my calendar locally on my Mac as I sync it with the ical app (but not with Icloud, I don't use my apple account for events). I run weekly Time Machine backups. While going through the system information, the frameworks and installations had certain elements with Install Dates from July 2024, including MacOS Sonoma 13.5, all installed at the same time — then again some frameworks (at the same time) in November 2024. Now the Air M1 was discontinued back in March, so how is this possible that these were installed in July+? Does this mean it has been refurbished? Hey! I have a MacBook Air M1 and sadly bought the smallest one: With 8GB RAM and 256GB Storage. I love to work with MacOS and would love, to completely switch to MacOS. Currently, I have a Windows PC on which I mainly develop with Jetbrains Programs and sometimes play games. Now my question: Would it be to bad, to use the MacBook as a Desktop? Hi all, I own a mid-2017 iMac 27-inch with 40GB RAM (upgraded) and a 1TB Fusion Drive. I realize that upgrading the internal storage is also crucial for my workflow as a photographer. I seek advice on the best course of action for replacing the Fusion Drive with an SSD.
