Having successfully installed Big Sur on Mac Pro 2009 I thought I'd give Monterey a go using the opencore.app this time and some help from . All went smoothly til the post install stage. A window was supposed to open to enable moving OpenCore to the Monterey SSD but it never appeared and now I am unable to disconnect the USB installer disk. My future computer plans include an Apple Silicon desktop, which will require me to build a gaming PC. My cMP currently serves as both. Question is, does the 5,1's older hardware limit a modern GPU (like my RX580) in any way? Would keeping the RX580 for my gaming PC result in better graphics performance with the newer hardware? Not that it's unsatisfactory in the cMP. Just curious if the gap in hardware generations is hindering the GPU in any way. Source: MacRumors

Everything was working fine for a while. Hi all, I have recently purchased a trash can mac. I currently have two 27" LED Cinema Displays and I am curious which cable/s I need to run from the Mac Pro to these dual monitors. I also would like on a separate occasion use my Macbook Pro (13") in target display mode with the Mac Pro, is this possible and if so, what cable would be best to use from the Mac Pro to the Macbook Pro? Hello. I followed Hrutkay Mods's tutorial and, has I have an Intel MacPro 3,1, I proceeded to apply dosdude1's patch to the ROM. The process went smooth and I then verified with UEFITool that the APFS driver is installed. Everything seems fine: I can find "APFS" in the ROM image (please check attachment). I’ve been starting to get speaker popping through my Logitech Speakers connected to my Mac Pro 5,1 via the AUX cable. At first, it seemed to be random and it started a few weeks ago and I’ve realized it seems to have started when I added a Sonnet Allegro Pro USB 3.2 PCIE card and there is data being transfered. So last night I took the plunge and upgraded from Catalina to Monterey on my 5,1. All went fairly smooth except I seem to have lost the ability to use both display port outputs on my Radeon RX 580 Pulse. Worked fine up until now, does anyone know what could cause this? iMessage definitely can be used without an Apple ID. I think FaceTime, too, works without one on iPhones, but I'm not 100% sure. Hello I have a strange problem on the iPhone 11 but also confirmed on iPhone 13. When i use a screen record program or casting and control app, the video option in the native camera app disappears. When i am casting the iphone to a Windows laptop and i open the camera app, i can see time lapse, photo etc. but the video option is no longer there. Personally I find this a load of - you know what. It's nonsense and simply just greed, taking advantage of everything else going up in price. ....and don't upsell me to some Umlimted plan, I'm using a 3GB a month plan...and still have rollover data each month & I'm fine with that. So the wife has been using the phone for a few months now, tried a few different brands of glass screen protectors, and they all just last about 2 weeks before the upper left corner lifts a little bit, creating a pinky size bubble. For some context: I never touch my settings, I recently updated my device (11 Pro Max) to 15.5, and it is not jailbroken.
