I went to my iPhone storage to delete an app and saw that there is something called “Apple Inc.” listed twice in there. They both take about 10/15 MB, and they both say “data shared by 2 apps” but they don't tell me which apps. They also don't tell me what that's used for. Hi, I bought my iPhone XR 2 years ago and now I experience some lags, especially while scrolling apps like reddit or turning on camera app. I have 88% of battery capacity, iOS 15.4.1 and mores less 20 gigabytes of free storage. I have done factory reset a couple of days ago but it didn’t improve the performance. What can I do? I am repairing my sisters almost new iPhone 12, it was damaged during a fight with her boyfriend and he tried to used his hulk strength to bend/break the phone in half physically and failed lmao.. I’m still using an iPhone X and trying my best to make it last until October and the new iPhone 14. For close to a year now I’ve had a few issues. The main one is apps immediately refresh if multitasking. For example, making a purchase online and I need to approve it in my banking app. I approve it and go back to the other app and I have to start all over again as it refreshed. I know this is an age old question but I've been trying everything and can't get this to work. Hi everyone, I've got an old Mac Pro 3,1 and am going to reinstall OS X so I can play around with it. Snow Leopard flies on it, which is what's on there now, but later versions are pretty slow. I'd like to find a happy medium between speed and usefulness. I'd like to install at least 10.12 so I can run newer versions of Firefox, etc but would also go higher using the Dosdude patcher if the system doesn't slow to a crawl. I actually have a MacPro 5.1 with OCLP 1/ First drive is Monterey 2/ Second drive is Windows I burnt Mac Os Leopard 10.5 to a DVD , then i want to install on a third drive. I'm kinda nostalgic, 10.5 Leopard was my first Mac OS in 2007, i want to experience it again. Problem is i actually have a RX 560 GPU. When i boot from DVD, i just have a black screen. Hi all. When I got this computer in mid-2020, I didn’t know the true capacity of it. This Mac Pro is an odd one. Does anybody know how to set up a Mac Pro to hibernate after a set period of sleep? This weekend I went away and wanted to cut the power to the desk but not lose my user session so I modified my MP's power management settings by switchting hibernatemode from 3 to 25, set a small standbydelay value and turned everything off when that time had passed. All instructions I found about upgrading the RAM are to remove the CPU tray, then work from there. But a bit funny thing is, the metal frame around the CPU tray of my Mac Pro 5,1 is damaged and getting loose and obstructs the tray, so a bit of prying is required to get the tray out. Hence I wonder if it is safe to just remove and install the RAM while keeping the tray in. There seems to be enough space to work out in a single 5,1. how harmful can a usb3 card be so close to gpu? do I run the risk that the GPU will heat up too much? the cards do not touch each other, between gpu and usb about 5 millimeters. I do a lot of video montages, so the card is always at work. can the fan that runs so close to the sonnet usb3 compromise usb3 data with interference? I want to setup my spare 4,1 > 5,1 to run ProxMox, virtualizing what is currently two different physical machines. Pfsense, and TrueNAS. I currently have the Apple Radeon Pro W5700X in my 7,1. I use it with a Pro Display XDR. I want to upgrade to a Radeon 6900X. Since I am using the Pro Display XDR (6k @ 60Hz) over ThunderBolt, am I basically locked in to using the Radeon Pro W6900X MPX Module and paying $6,000 for the same GPU Newegg will sell me for $1,200? I installed a 1 tb Samsung 970 evo nvme m.2 on my 2013 Mac Pro years ago. Of course when I try to upgrade to Monterey the upgrade fails due to the firmware not supported for the SSD. I've read that this can be achieved by installing an Apple ssd, do the upgrade up to the point after the firmware update, re-installing the 1 tb ssd then continuing the Big Sur upgrade. I'm a YouTube Premium subscriber, and the picture-in-picture function (where you can still see the video playing even when you're in other apps or on the home screen) has worked flawlessly until today, and now all of a sudden it just doesn't work. Hi all, I have an old iphone 5 that I am trying to wipe and restore to be used as a music player/camera. I go into iTunes (12.9.5.5) on my imac running Mojave (10.14.6). I click on Restore, it downloads the software and installs. After the restore, my iphone 5 then goes to the "Hello" screen. I can put in my wifi network, but then it asks me to login to iCloud. I just set up a new iPad on my Apple ID last night. I've noticed that the new iPad is not uploading pictures to photostream. Actually, my iPhone failed to upload several photos I took on an outing today to photostream as well, and they've both been on wifi since then. Hi. Can someone please walk me through the steps to take small-file pictures of some black and white documents? My pics are coming out way too large - they should be a few KB each and instead are at least 2 MB each. I obviously need them to be legible. Another question if the above is not possible - How do I greatly reduce the size of my 131 MB pdf file which is now on my desktop - iMac, macOS Monterey v. 12.0.1.
