Running Monterey 21.1 with OC 0.7.7 and I get this error: Code: $ sudo nvram "recovery-boot-mode=unused" Error setting variable - 'recovery-boot-mode': (iokit/common) not permitted. Is it possible to transfer email account info (passwords, server address etc.) from an iPad where all that's working fine over to a brand new iPhone 11? I was suprised to see that "Quick Start" popped up and apparently transferred something (not sure what though as I've gone through most of the default settings and changed them, so maybe I did something wrong). I’m wondering if I’m missing a setting somewhere that’s blocking SMS messages trying to send me verification codes from businesses like AT&T, and my mortgage company. They want to send them every time I log in from a different device (either my phone or iPad), and they will not come through on my phone. Is it possible to fit two 3.5" HDDs in the lower optical drive bay of a cMP 5,1? I thought I had it covered with a Sharkoon 525 Bayextension. but looking back at an earlier posting of mine I can clearly see in the photos that it only takes a single 3.5" drive but multiple 2.5" devices. There seems to be enough space in the optical "cage" for another 3.5" drive below the one in the photo, but I haven't found any 5.25" adapters for this and I'm a little worried there might be too much... Many times, I can clear out "attachment" storage from this area - which are pics, videos, I'll send in iMessage. I can't seem to bring that up as well. My iPhone pics are in HEIF format, however, because part of job includes sending pics to numerous people i have been told to ensure they are always in jpeg. s anyone know clockgenerator (pll) chip/chips of cMP? It should be on cpu tray. I can't access my 4,1 right now but hi-res photos is ok for investigating. I'm looking for further software overclocking possibilities. Also, looking for ram overclocking possibilities and tightening timing options in a software/uefi or OpenCore like boot manager. Here's a head scratcher .... can't figure this one out. Mac Pro 5,1, Mojave 14.4, Sapphire RX580 video card. Video displays fine when using AOC monitors with DVI input. I use DVI to HDMI adapters to plug both monitors into the video card HDMI inputs. Looks great. However when trying to use a single new Dell monitor with only an HDMI input and connecting to the RX580 using just a standard HDMI cable no video is detected. Doesn't make sense. I accidentally bought BCM94360CSAX thinking it was BCM94331CD only to realize when I went to install it in my 4.1 that it was too small. Is there an adapter I can buy or should I just start over? I'm trying to get the best card my Mac can handle. I have successfully gotten Catalina to install and work with my old card BCM94322MC. My Magic Keyboard was connecting fine, and then I came back from winter vacation and none of my bluetooth devices are connecting. I have 2 Magic Keyboards I've tested. Sometimes they say connected , but typing results in nothing. They work fine plugged in via cable and have 100% charge. I have been using google photos for years (since it was free). Now that i'm getting more apple stuff i want to switch over to iCloud. But i have a lot of trouble importing the pictures and movies. Is there a some way to monitor the usage of the Afterburner card? I have one on the way. I have both a 16" M1 Max/32c GPU/64GB RAM and a 7,1 Mac Pro/16 core/Pro Vega 2 GPU/96GB RAM. I just tried transcoding a 13 minute 4K file using Compressor with both machines to get a sense of the M1 Max media engine's encode acceleration. 4K, 10-bit, 4:2:2 MXF to 4K ProRes 422.
