Hoping to see if anyone else is experiencing these issues, and if so, if anyone has had any luck identifying the cause. About a month ago, our iMessage group chat randomly split into a second chat—identical in name, but with no chat history. Every member of the chat left/deleted the duplicate chat. In the last weeks, this issue has become a near-daily occurrence. My experience, is that mid-conversation, while using my Macbook, iPad, or iPhone, I will send a message and suddenly the message will instead send as either RCS or SMS, splitting the group chat again into a separate, duplicate chat. Whenever she tries to open the messages app, it just sits on a black screen for 15-30 seconds and then crashes. This also happens when she tries to access any setting related to the messages app in settings, it turns the screen black and crashes the app. She has tried restarting her phone, resetting her phone, and she’s currently on call with Apple but from what I’ve read online this was an issue in the past and they’re no help. When I first got my iphone, I was able to crop with some assistance for lines. IE, if I screenshot a meme and go to crop it, it would automatically snap to the borders of the meme. I about 3000 pictures, and 130 videos (most <30 seconds, about 20 vids up to 2 minute videos) on my Photos app. I have iCloud storage, where Photos takes up 26 GB, however Photos takes up 52 GB of my iPhone storage. I've confirmed "Optimize iPhone Storage" is turned on and everything is synced to iCloud, yet so much of my iPhone storage is still being taken up by the Photos app. Are there any tricks for photos to not take up iPhone storage, or at least heavily reduce it, or do I just have too many photos/videos? submitted by /u/misha-nicu [link] [comments]

Does anyone know how to edit the list of Devices at top right corner of Settings → Screen Time → App & Website Activity screen? Hi, I use find my with my family and typically my sister uses it to know when I'm at home or specific places when I can't answer the phone but lately, she has been noticing that it only shows my location from X days ago. This happened some time ago when I first bough the iPhone 16 Pro and I managed to fix it (don't remember how, I think it was toggling off/on the setting) and now, today, she told me again that my location was from 2 days ago. Having an issue with my new M4 where the screen intermittently has a purple tint upon waking which goes away with a reboot. It seems to happen only when the M4 and monitor have both been asleep for several hours (like 5+). I tried changing the monitor connection from Thunderbolt to Thunderbolt/Displayport with no improvement. I used the HDMI connection when I first got the M4 and did not have the issue but I prefer the Thunderbolt connection as it seems to work better with my monitor (ASUS ZenScreen MS27UC). Hi, I texted my group chat this morning and all of a sudden, only my messages are green? Sent in SMS only? My wifi is good and all that, but my group is saying I made another group chat, which is the SMS and I’m not sending messages in the Imessage group chat, but I can’t seem to go back to blue?? I've seen other posts on Reddit about this but haven't found a solution that has actually worked for me so I'm hoping some fresh eyes can see this. Literally every single time I type the word "we're" and then type another word, autocorrect will change it to "were" (even if I hit the x). I have added "we're" to my text replacement, I have tried basically everything ever suggested about this and nothing has worked. Autocorrect has gotten so bad over the last few years but the annoying thing is that the letters are so small that it's a necessity to have it on. I just got the Iphone 16 and whenever I'm talking my speaker will just kind of mute itself so that person I'm speaking to can't hear me. It doesn't matter who I'm talking to, this happens.
