Hi all!! Ok I have a "bricked" MacPro and I need to reflash my rom (chip U8700) and I never did this BUT would like to know How to do it. Yesterday, I spent my first day messing with a Mac. Ever. Have been using Windows since 286 days, so, at 69, this is a mad step into the unknown. Hello friends. I recently added my old 23" Cinema Display to my Trashcan in addition to the main 27" Eizo. I'm using the apple DisplayPort adapter. I got it set up just fine and mounted vertically on a nice new dual monitor stand. Suddenly after a few reboots (latest Mojave) my arrangement gets forgotten and it thinks the Cinema Display is my main screen. I have to re-do my screen arrangement and drag the task bar back over. Using [uSER=884762]@h9826790[/uSER]'s OpenCore config, playback and encoding of H.264 and HEVC is easy and fantastic. Hi, I'm trying to play AoE4 on bootcamp on my Mac Pro. I do have the following persisting issue though: I start the mac, press alt. Choose the bootcamp partition, see the windows logo, then my ProDisplay XDR just stays black indefinitely. It used to work sometimes, but now I just always get the same result. Hi, I am planning to upgrade the SSD on my Mac Pro 2013 (trashcan) with a third party NVME drive and all of them seems to require to have the latest Boot ROM version / SMC version in order to work properly with the machine. I have a Mid-2012 cMP (5,1, A1289 - 2629) that has a very strange problem (or maybe I just don't have enough information). It powers up but won't boot or drive the display. I have followed the Apple Service Manual's diagnostic procedures for this device but cannot narrow the problem down further than "backplane and/or processor board". Hi all!! Ok just arrived home and my mac pro was on a boot chime loop with fans on (but not at full speed but mid speed) but screen stays black. I have turned it off by pressing power for a few seconds then rebooted but I still get a boot chime loop/fan speed and black screen but did check fast for any red glow trough the mac front screen but at first glance I didn't see any red colour.
