I bought a Macbook Air 13" M3 256 GB (2024) online for pick up and when I got home and opened the box it was a Macbook Pro 14' 512 GB M3 (2023). Lucky, I know. But also I like the lightness of the Air. My husband thinks it's great but I'm not so sure. I've had MBA's for the past 8 years so it may just be familiarity too Thoughts? I used to use Samsung external hard drive T7 which has USB 3.2 gen 2 on my old Window. But recently I have moved to new Macbook 14' pro and it has thunderbolt 5. Thunderbolt 4 on old macbook can support only USB 3.2 gen 2. I wonder between old Samsung T7 and new T9 for my mac before purchasing one of them. Hi! Idk what shoetcut or sth I mistakely pressed but an ai voice keep poping up when I play chess or minecraft on my mac air m2. Finally unboxed my MacBook Pro 16 with M4 Pro. Lovely bit of kit, but as a Windows user of 30+ years I'm struggling to grasp some of the basics. What's vital for me is to be able to integrate the MacBook into my existing setup, so I can continue to use my monitor and peripherals. Have run into the following issues and would appreciate any help: External mouse scrolling is awfully jittery. Scrolling is buttery smooth with the trackpad, but I don't plan on having the MacBook open when at my desk. Have tried a few mice, all wired, and scrolling stutters to the point of being off putting on all of them. What am I missing? Managed to get my HyperX keyboard work…

Looking to buy a MacBook for school, light gaming, photo editing, and general use. from my research I have two pretty good options, a 2020 M1 MBP with 16gb ram and 1tb ssd (refurbished by a 3rd party) and a 2022 MBA with 16gb ram, and 256gb ssd (refurbished by Apple via the Amazon store). Both of these are 1100$ CAD. the main dilemma I face with these choices is the monitors, I have 2 right now but only one works with the MBA. Hey! So my battery got swollen so I decided to buy a replacement battery from ASMARK brand on amazon for the A1707 model. I installed everything as the guide followed and double and triple checked my installation. When I boot my laptop I get the charging red icon without any luck booting. Even after i leave my charger in (which has had no problem before and is a high speed one) it doesnt go out of the red battery state and won't boot. I've had this same issue before with my old macbook pro and just had to wipe the drive and start again. My new macbook pro is starting to do this now too, which I was hoping wouldn't happen. I own a Mac Studio which functions as my daily driver machine, I was one of the unlucky ones who bought the highest tier MacBook you can buy…. In 2019, the last intel model. I am a video editor, so my use case is very taxing, I was trying to use while I was visiting family for the holidays and it just started shutting itself down after 5 mins of use, I’m ready to give up on it, but I also just don’t make the money to justify a new maxed out MacBook that will get only used once every few weeks when I’m on a trip, or if I want to work in a coffee shop.
