I have checked Google and various websites and tried various methods to turn it back on. I have reset the SMC according to some websites (a couple times actually) and it does reset because the Magsafe LED did infact change colors. The battery as shown by the Magsafe LED in the picture seems to be fully charged. No amount of pressing the power button seems to working in turning it on. Could this be a bat…

I'm planning on setting up a home server of sorts that will automatically backup the two Macs in my household as well as keep an offline copy of me and my wife's iCloud Photo Library. The goal is to have a Mac mini connected to two separate external hard drives. One for media storage (think Plex server) and a multi-bay external drive enclosure for data backup. Its the latter that I'm looking for recommendations on. I'd like a 2 or 4 bay enclosure that I can expand and it would obviously need to be reliable and compatible with the Mac mini. I recently purchased a 14" MacBook Pro with the M4 Pro chip. It's amazing. The build quality is solid, the battery life is impressive, and the performance in day-to-day tasks is absurd. I have been a longtime Windows and Linux user, have built my own PCs for years, and while I have used Maca in the past - I generally still prefer the interface of Windows and most Linux distros over MacOS. I recently got the newer A2450 Magic Keyboard after giving away the A1644 to the wife and I felt instant regret. Key travel feels pretty much the same, but it somehow feels like keys are closer together and the whole thing feels "smaller" to type on. But my biggest pet peeve is those god awful overly rounded corners. Hi guys, I just installed the latest update for macOS: Sequoia 15.1.1. After the Mac rebooted, I noticed I had roughly 10 less GB of storage. I cleaned out the cache. Didn't help much.
