When I have my phone connected to Bluetooth in the car or AirPods the audio will pause itself for a second and then like skip forward very fast. My screen never dims on the lockscreen. Any tap or notification that turns on the screen on will keep it on forever. I have auto lock set to never, but experienced the same behavior even with auto lock at 30s. Always on display is disabled. I recently upgraded to a 16 pro from a 12 and this is not how the 12 behaved. It’s minor but really distracting in the car or trying to focus at my desk. Unrelated but my control center shortcuts require Face ID even with “run while locked” enabled. iOS 18 is a mess. submitted by /u/xBraydenator [link] [comments]

So many of my icons are still showing empty icons on the home screen. I tried the tips mentioned and even trying them, i still have blank icon images. I’ve got a bunch of focus modes set up with different icons and folders and it’s kind of frustrating on my iphone 14 pro. i even had to replace my phone on applecare and set it up again from the old iphone and the new phone is having the same issue with blank icons. The “Devices” section shows up in Photos only after I added a folder in the USB drive called “DCIM”. Although now, the message “no photos to import” appears. Any ideas on how I can get this to work? my phone pink-screened the other day (four days ago) and then kept restarting when i tried to unlock it (four times). finally it let me unlock it but when i went to check my notes (for unrelated reasons; i believe i was just adding something innocuous) i realised it had deleted ALL of my notes from the past one year except for one of them from june. it was on ios17.2 and i updated to ios18 after the fact, as some things said it could be from outdated software. does anyone know what is causing this or how to fix it without defaulting to a backup? its really upsetting. apple support was useless. submitted by /u/vendettagoddess [link] [comments]

Hey! Considering switching from Samsung S series to iPhone. For years, the lack of secure folder feature in ios holded me back. I researched and realized there is a similar feature in Ios18. I have a question about this feature. In Samsung, you can enable a VPN inside the secure folder, and it will completely isolate the network for the apps inside the secure folder. With this, I am allowed to run a clone of the apps, like Discord, Whatsapp, web browsers, etc with another set of accounts with a different IP address, that is not leaked outside of the secure folder, while maintaining non-vpn connection outside of the secure folder. Hi, I want to manage files on my iPhone like i did it on Android phones, for example to store images in separate directories (photos, memes, reaction images, etc.). Also, I want to copy files from my PC regarding directory structure or, even better, to a specific directory. Is there any app I could use to do this? For the second purpose, I tried to use Apple Devices, but it keeps disconnecting and I can't modify files on my iPhone.
