A friend has a MacBook Air installed with OS X Mountain Lion that does not connect to internet but that is due to the outdated certificates in it from what I read. I googled Bulut did not get a straight answer on going directly to Sierra. I will make a bootable installer but can I install sierra directly? My mom just gave me one of those portable monitor extenders to use with my M3 Pro MBP but upon installing the driver and actually using the monitors, my mouse cursor disappears whenever I drag it onto one of those monitors. I know it still works because I can bring up the app dock by dragging my finger down on the trackpad and I can click on things in the top of the screen by dragging my mouse to the top and clicking. Hi! I'll try to include all relevant information. I'm daily driving an m1 base macbook air since 2020 and today I discovered (this is relatively new since it didn't happen before) that when I bend the screen backwards (so that its more open >90 degrees, it will turn pink with lines. I imagine this might somehow be related to another issue I've had for a while but had no way of repairing it, where the screen wouldn't lay on the keyboard, istead staying somewhat above it. I just got a 14” MacBook Pro m4 max and an LG display second hand. The display is the 35” curved ultrawide QHD HDR monitor with USB type-C. I downloaded the drive for the display and tried connecting both the USBC and HDMI through a display link I got with the monitor. I tried connecting and disconnecting both links, restarting the MacBook while connected, shutting down both the MacBook and the display while connected then turning them on together, but nothing worked. Hi all.. I've had this same issue with two different Mac's but the same mouse. It's a Magic Mouse 2 (the one with the lightning connector) which I've had for years. In general it works fine but once in a while it takes a ton of movement to move across my single screen -- kinda like running across the grocery store to get that last bag of Oreos and you'r'e running in slow motion. It's annoying. OK.. Perhaps a bad analogy! I've found that if I go into the settings app and fiddle with most any setting (e.g. mouse movement speed) then the issue is immediately fixed.. Weeks ago, I wrote a post titled iPhone XS iOS 18.1.1 call recordings (in Notes) cannot be shared. That was the same day I bought an iPhone 14. After I received the device, I was told to go into the Notes app, select the recording, click on the sharing icon (the arrow that comes out of the square), select "Send Copy", a file named: "Call recording.m4a" would appear. For short calls, it works as intended and I am able to get an audio file that can be played on Windows. Unfortunately, I noticed that longer calls (more than 1 hour) cannot be exported using this method. The file is not attached, and instead, only the words "Call recording" appear. For a while I have the problem that when I try to connect to a wifi, fill out the password, my phone changes the wifi to one specific wifi that I have once connected to a year ago. Obviously password is wrong and I always have to redo it before it actually connects to the wifi I want. I couldn’t find anything online, so I thought I was the only one. Only my fiancé has exactly the same problem (different wifi for him tho, but always the same). I let my phone forgot this netwerk and I never see it in the list. Hey guys, So the thing is my wife created a shared album with me but the problem is I can’t see the photos she liked showed up on the activity feed, I only she the one I liked show up on the activity feed. But for her she can see both ours liked photos on activity feed. FYI if I scrolled through the photos I can see which one was liked, but just not activity feed to see how many and/or which one she liked. For me, Apple has always been a reference in terms of software. The “just works” were real. But now, seriously, this last update has been the buggiest I’ve ever used. apps crash a lot more. Hi everybody, There is somethign weird happening if I choose to boot to Windows 11 by default. I got this error : https://forums.macrumors.com/attachments/20241225_184701-jpg.2465704/ If I choose Win11 via boot menu, it boots just fine in Windows. I've got latest macOS Sequoia on Apple's 1TB drive and WIN11 is on Samsung 980 1TB NVMe (Sonnet NVME x4 card) . Never done this before (to auto boot to WIN by holding CTRL and setting it as default boot option). Is there a logical explanation to this ? Source: MacRumors
