I have one of these on hand that's got all components except the storage modules. No SSDs and none of the mounts to hold them. Is it possible to just stick a 2.5" SATA SSD into the connections on the motherboard and get it up and running. Source: MacRumors

Wacky idea here. Anyone have a pin out for the cMP1,1 PS? I'm thinking of using the case, optos, drive mounts & PS (MoBo died and removed) to hold a low end '14 or '18 mini for the server head. So's I don't need to buy an ext enclosure. Source: MacRumors

I’ve seen so many comparisons within the various levels of CPUs, but never a cross comparison. Yes, M4 [insert pro or max] is going to do better than M3 of the same level, but does anyone know how it will stack up between levels? Is the M4 base only slightly less powerful than the M3 Pro? Yesterday, a new rumor from the reliable source "Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman" suggested that the MacBook Air M4 might be released in early 2025. I have MacBook Pro Mid 2012 with an old HDD drive. Recently, I installed a new SSD drive with the HDD and both were working just fine. I was obviously using my Mac on the SSD for better performance. Then, my Mac suddenly stopped recognizing the SSD hard drive. I restarted many times and checked the SSD SATA connector in my Mac but nothing seems abnormal. I don’t know why it is stopped being recognized. Doesn’t appear on disk utility and even when I used ‘diskutil list’ command in Terminal still not recognized. Under Apple service programs, I found two products (AirPods and a Mac) that are eligible for service programs, and I indeed have the issues listed on the website. The problem is that I bought these products around 2019/2020, and I’m not sure if they’re still eligible. Does the purchase date matter when it comes to getting them repaired for free (if there was a service recall)? As the title say, I was unlucky and spilled some water on my mac. I dried it and now left it upside down.
