I see on marketplace that the old magic trackpads are cheap now with the USB C coming out. Wondering if anyone has attempted a lightning to USB C mod? I learned how to solder this year by building my own custom keyboards but not knowledgeable about electrical connections yet. I searched for a bit and didn't see anything. Problem fixed comments told me to go on settings > Siri > messaging with Siri > toggle off automatically send messages. I had my AirPod pros 2 on and Siri let me know that I got a text from a weekly text that my jobs company sends. It's just a reminder so it's automated. I thought it was a personal text but then I kept listening and realized it was work related and in a joking way I said "ahh shut the f**** up". She didn't ask me if I wanted to respond, she didn't confirm anything, she just sent it. Luckily no messages go through but that would have been my ass if it was my manager. Lol. This gesture is integrated into the iOS user interface, and Apple does not currently offer a setting to turn it off. It’s been an ongoing problem for years. I only recently updated to iOS 18 about a month ago. Ever since, I've noticed that my focus mode schedules are being totally ignored. I very carefully arranged the schedules manually (I never use 'smart activation') so they would trigger exactly when I want them to (e.g. 'Work' focus only triggers on location for my work address, 'Home' triggers at 5pm until my 'Sleep' focus kicks in on weekdays, 'Personal' focus from 8:30am until 'Sleep' on weekends, etc.). On iOS 17 this system worked almost perfectly - I never had any complaints. Now on iOS 18, it is all chaos. I turn off my morning alarm and my 'Work' focus turns on. This has been happening for so long that I can’t remember exactly when it started. It was super random and I’d never had the problem before. I have tried everything I can think of or find, including what seems to work for most people: manually creating a reminder with a date / time, then receiving a prompt requesting permission to show notification. I don’t receive that prompt and, of course, I already have my notifications on. I’ve tried toggling the notifications, I’ve tried redownloading the app, I’ve checked all updates, I’ve checked to make sure it’s turned on in iCloud, I’ve restarted my phone so many freaking times. The queue is problematic. The fact that it wiped out my heavily curated queue when I upgrade to 18.0 was another nail in its coffin but now it has a very fickly way of moving episodes around in the queue. For some reason I can move an episode up or down but for others it will register the change after the move but then after about 5 seconds the episode will snap back to its original placement in the queue. (???) Episodes that have this problem are random. Maybe they're still being downloaded?
