Hey all, I recently picked up a 2017 MacBook Pro for free - it seems fine in every respect but keeps failing at internet recovery. It will either cut off during the Ventura download, restart, and I'll be met with the flashing folder icon, or it will go all the way through the initial download, restart, and give me the flashing folder icon again. Any ideas on how to get this machine up and running? My first thought is to get a usb-ubsc adapter and try with a bootable drive, but before I throw money at that I wonder if there's anything else I might try. So something I noticed with the 16PM camera and taking photos during a concert, the dark setting with all the leds and strobe lights must really mess with the sensors because they look horrible. The two pictures from korn are taken with 16 PM and the two from FFDP are 15PM both out of box settings haven’t tweaked anything with exposure or anything. I've always thought that giving out your actual phone number to be a security risk. Consider that your iMessage number may be your only number that financial institutions, utilities, etc use. Wondering how this stacks up in security from those security minded? Meanwhile, an obvious solution is to iMessage with your email only, or get a second number (VOIP or real). Does anyone do this? I tried everything to delete the 1600+ tab groups both on the Mac as well as the phone but it keeps coming back and stays the same. I’ve had to switch my default browser to Chrome as a result since whenever I try opening new tabs, switching between tabs or even closing tabs it is so slow makes me think I’m using an iPhone 4 in 2024. I have 2 SIM cards. 1 as my primary number with limited cellular data, and another with unlimited data(way cheaper than a Wifi plan). I'm looking to turn my old iPhone 11 Pro into a router, using the unlimited data SIM. The reason I don't want to use my newer iPhone is that sharing the data for a longer period of time will probably damage the battery. I would mostly share the data to my Macbook Air M1, maybe sometimes to a TV. I have my phone set to vibrate while on silent mode. Can I make it so that when I turn on a specific focus mode my phone doesn’t vibrate but I still get the notifications? I am using different profiles for personal life and work with linked home screens. Some apps I am using in both contexts, hence I placed them on both home screens. This works well for all apps except for the new Passwords app. Whenever I place it on one of the two screens it is removed from the other one. Does anyone know if this by design?
