Also need to keep it as simple as possible, as We simply dont have the time for all this data input. The business is only 2 -3 yrs old, and really cant afford more than the 4 ( inc me ) staff we have there already. We are just breaking even so expensive invoicing / accounting solutions are not an option right now. Im doing most of the office work mysef, and it is hard enough keeping up calling everyone back, and arranging quotes etc...

We buy windows in - and make the glass units that go inside - so no we stock no UPVC or ALU. We stock Glass - but there is a lot of waste, and as such, becomes a mjaor pain having this listed as a stock product. Any hardware or sundries we sell, are also consumables we will use on an istallation or repair for example, and also have waste issues in some cases. From what I understand,in accounting terms - we are running the business as non stock - and services provided. I hope that answers your question, and thanks for asking mate.

Never thought of that or that it was possible. Deffinately an option, that I will look into. Thank you Dalo

Thanks Wolfey mate The business has been running for 2 years ( But just reinvested everything giving the place a face lift / modernization and trying to go a bit more " year 2008" ) , but we use a carbon copy paper invoice system currently, and is getting a bit of pain, and doesnt look very proffessional.. Its not a stock business as such. It's a glazing business, where everything is more or less made or cut to measure, so there is no up loading of pre priced items, or anything with a barcode ( less a few sundries we also sell ) Sales must be manually input mostly. We also supply and install double Glazing, so there is no fixed price on this either....I think an invoicing programme like MS accounting is actually pretty good for us, as it has service, and non stock product options, and I've almost worked it out ( I think ) Its just as I like to work in my office to create larger ( installtion invoices ) as opposed to my sales counter, and of course I like to check sales etc from my office also, do I need to have 2 machines and two lots of software to do this, as they are only about 2 metres apart? Thanks again. :D

Hi Guys - Id be really grateful for some advice please as I'm a bit confused as to how I go about this - Other than internet purposes Im kinda clueless on networking ( 2 computers together ) I have a couple of questions..... 1. Is there some sort of a quick guide to networking page someone would kindly point me to please? 2. When you network 2 Pcs together - Is it possible to use a Programme ( ie Office ) installed on one machine - by the other PC? 3.As My main Pc is in my office - and I just need to create and print invoices about 2 metres away at my sales counter ( secondary printer also ) - Am I better off using the same machine - with a dual graphics card and have 2 monitors and KB/Mice ( 1 set at the point of sale ) all running off the same machine? Ideally Id like all thesaved data on my main PC. Ok thats 3 q's :o and sorry if they are confusing. Thanks, :D

Ok I have managed to remove the table in the template,I highlighted it and deleted ( and it worked this time ) - thanks for your help guys. Esp Wolfey ;) Wolfey do you use turbo cash at all? ;)
-
Thanks mate I've been considering it. Been on that TurboCash forabout 30 mins now - I'm finding it very crude and difficult to understand. Still cant open a Cash sale - or Invoice form on it. Think Ill stick with Ms accounting ( its also free - and I think much easier to work with ) as Ive spent hours trying to get my head round that already. Thanks anyway mate :)

Thanks mate downloading it now, will check it out :D

Yes I am wolfey mate - and killing myself in the process it seems :(. Actually I am messing around with Ms accounting, as its integrates with Word / Excell ( which I dont really use YET but thinking if the business grows I may need it ) and i thought it was quite neat, albeit very complicated. Looked around for Invoicing software but everything free I found was either rubbish or very hard to use. What did you have in mind bud? ;)

Hi I think I did it - with a LOT of help from a friend - ( thanks Wolfey ) Basically its the VAT Tax Code Tax Rate Vat Net / Amout table i want to remove with disturbing the other tables When I delte the cells. it removes other parts of the Invoice ( like the3 descripton section ) and missaligns some of the form. Hope this works / helps

Hmm me again, I have been twiddling about with a trial version of Office small business ( word mainly ) as I'm seriously considering buying it for work. Thing is while i was messing around, don't know what I did, but everytime I open word now, my scribbles are open as the default page everytime. Ive deleted the contents of the page and re saved, saved in different formats, and names, ie Document1, Doc1 and for the life of me, it still comes up with my scribbles. I even went as far as repairing the install, uninstalled it and re installed it, deleted all word docs - and the blasted scribbles are still there! Sigh Im sure its something simple, but I didnt want to be too much of a pest with all my questions, and tried to work it out myself, however Im really stuck now :( Please help me! Thanks for looking ;)

Hi guys, Im trying to edit an invoice template in Word 2007 ( trial version )- only I cannot seem to remove a VAT table at the bottom of the page. Step by step would be nice, as I'm totally new to 2007. Anyone please? I suspect there will be a few Word help requests in the piepline. Thanks to all :D

Laptop seems to have died?
Spartan73 replied to pilotbob's topic in Tech Support & Discussions Forum
Infact i reckon some older laptops are worth more as spare parts, than they are as fully working units. Anyone wanna go into into business? :D
