On the link that you provided it doesnt say that its supported the nearest to what you said (R1938) is an (R1908)
It does say however that it supports Easynote R1,R2,R3,R4,R5,R6,R7,R8 and R9 Series
So the CDROM is on an IDE yes?
Ans the HDD is connected to an add in SATA controller.
You can buy an IDE to SATA converter but they are expensive - go and buy a small IDE HDD and install the OS on it - when its installed windows update will get the drivers for the SATA controller, or install with the disk that came with the controller.
Your other alternative is to buy an external case for the HDD that supports USB, but there is still no guarantee it will work on your MOBO
If your PC is that dirty inside that you have to take it outside, I would advise that rather than stopping outside, you put the PC in your car - drive to the nearest tip and launch it in there :eek:
Anyone that has to take their PC outside as its that dirty inside needs slapping with a big fish :D
