  1. A foolish question Doug but does this happen regularly or occasionally. I mean do you experience this problem frequently or does it show itself just out of the blues? Also, does the whole screen shakes for five seconds or just the browser window? Please reply as soon as possible. :) -- Goku
  2. Must be untrue, otherwise half the Scotsman in York would be dead. Angry or upset - shoot - another Scotsman less. :) Queen Elizabeth I regarded herself as a paragon of cleanliness. She declared that she bathed once every three months, whether she needed it or not. -- Goku
  3. Follow Seth's instructions Doug and if you still experience the problem, can you please check your system for any prank software installed. Might be someone's idea to think it would be funny. :) -- Goku
  4. He he, is this really fact? Will try it whenever the real estate is booming. :) In the U.S.A over eleven thousand people (up until the end of 2003) have visited a tortilla chip that appears to have the face of Jesus Christ burned into it! -- Goku
  5. Well, should the problem ever arise back again, you know what to do as the primary solution. The solution has worked for you two times which I believe is enough proof that the problem is within the BIOS itself. I can't put any input on this but perhaps Dalo might be able to guide you through a BIOS update so that you don't have to undergo through all this. Glad we could help though. :) -- Goku

  9. If you can afford to do so, then it definitely won't be a failed investment. Just keep Dalo's advice in mind before you order something in case you have to regret it later. :) If confused, hesitant or unsure what to do, please ask. We would be glad to help. :) -- Goku
  10. Hello and Welcome to Extreme Tech Support - Free PC Help Claire. :) Are you sure you have enabled tabbed browsing in Safari. To enable tabbed browsing in Safari, do the following: 1. Open Safari. 2. Open Preferences. 3. Click Tabs. 4. Check the box that says Enable Tabbed Browsing. http://www.blogsmithmedia.com/www.tuaw.com/media/2007/05/enabletabbedbrowsing.jpg Other useful shortcuts & tricks: Open links in new tabs: If you have a scroll-wheel mouse, click the link with the scroll-wheel button. If you have a regular mouse, command-click the link instead. Add the Shift key to select the new tab after opening it. If you always want to select new tabs as they are created, open Preferences (Command-,) and check the proper option in the Tabs pane. Create a new empty tab: Press Command-T or select File -> New Tab. Open a folder of bookmarks into separate tabs: Control-click (right-click) a folder in your bookmark bar or Bookmarks window and choose Open in Tabs. Closing tabs: Click the close X in the corner of the tab to close it. Holding down option closes all tabs but the current one. http://www.blogsmithmedia.com/www.tuaw.com/media/2007/05/tabclosing.jpg Navigate tab history: Each tab has a separate history. You can navigate through the history using Command-Left Arrow and Command-Right Arrow (alternatively, Command-[ and Command-]). Check out the command cheat sheet: Open the Tabs pane in Safari Preferences (Command-,) and pay attention to the bottom of the pane. You'll find a four-item cheat sheet showing you the various Command-click options with modifiers. These change based on whether you have enabled tabbed browsing. http://www.blogsmithmedia.com/www.tuaw.com/media/2007/05/taboptions.jpg Also, to extend the usability of the Tabs, you might want to try this add-on. :) SafariTabs 0.6.1 Hope that helps. :) -- Goku

  14. Welcome back Warren. :) Do you have any Floppy inserted in the drive? If so, then remove it and try rebooting again. Also, can you state what is the primary boot device in BIOS? That would help considerably too. Please reply as soon as possible with the results. :) -- Goku
  15. Well, then as a last resort, can you please reinstall Internet Explorer 8 Beta from a standalone version like the one available here. The Beta 8 version of it is actually the final version of Internet Explorer 7 and therefore might help in correcting some or any of the problems. Please try and see if a reinstall changes anything or not. Good Luck. :) -- Goku
  16. Excellently put AdvancedSetup. :) -- Goku
  17. Sorry for my previous misleading post Masplin. Here are two articles that extensively list the problems and bugs one might experience while using Internet Explorer 7. See if the cap fits you or not. :) Known issues - Internet Explorer 7 Release Notes for Internet Explorer 7 I sincerely hope, this time you do get it fixed. Good Luck. :) -- Goku
  18. Sorry Masplin. My bad that I couldn't distinguish it from the issue. I have deleted the post and will try to search for some another article. By the way, do not use any registry cleaners or scans mentioned on the site. They could be dangerous and could make your system go awry at the very least. Hold on there, we will find some solution soon. :) -- Goku
  19. Good sense of humor Wolfey. :) The word "queue" is the only word in the English language that is still pronounced the same way when the last four letters are removed. -- Goku
  20. Ok, so that really rules out the terrible possibility I stated as you opened it on subsequent days for further amendments. :) So, your next step should be too search the name of the folder. Do a complete system search that is to say a complete search of My Computer. See, if it yields anything useful or not. If it doesn't then lets try and find some different method to recover those files. :) -- Goku
  21. Thanks Wolfey. Glad to see more people are getting over its inflated disrepute. :) -- Goku
  22. Never new it myself. Thanks for posting. :) Beetles taste like apples, wasps like pine nuts, and worms like fried bacon. :) -- Goku

  24. So did you update it to SP3 or are you still waiting for the right moment? :) -- Goku
  25. Also, if I might suggest, have you tried to switch browsers? See if that works or not. There are loads to choose from: 1. Mozilla Firefox 2. Avant Browser 3. Opera 4. Flock There are many more available on the net! Just try and experiment with at least two of them and see if they work or not. Incompatible browser scripts might also cause the problem you have been facing. See if changing the browser does the trick or not. Good Luck. :) -- Goku
