Arrr! Be it broken? I was refactoring a lib today, and moved one of our abstract test classes into another assembly.. Instantly the tests on the derived test classes were half the size, none of the inherited tests were working.. after spending some time proving it wasn't something I'd done wrong.. I moved the abstract class back to an inherited test class's project, removed the reference to the abstract project, compiled and ran the tests.. to my surprise - it worked again.. Instantly I removed the class back and added back the reference again, rebuilt and ran the*tests again, and it was still working.. great I said to myself, must have been one of those things.. Until I did some refactoring in the abstract test class, rebuilt and bam - all the inherited tests aren't running anymore..*as far as the test lists can see,*the abstract class tests don't exist.. Is this a bug? PS: No bottle throwing because I'm using Microsofts unit testing instead of say.. xunit, I know,*I know! More... View All Our Microsoft Related Feeds

I am busy writing my first WCF service at work in VS 2008.* This service is meant to run behind our firewall, within our network.* For that reason I want to use TCP as the transport protocol.* I've begun reading through Juval Lowy's book, "Programming WCF Services" by O'Reilly press, but I'm not sure where to find how I should host*my new WCF service.* Looking at the Web.Config file I see that the binding it is using is wsHttpBinding.* Can I add the TCP binding to the Web.Config file and have IIS host the service? Hi there, I'm new here so I thought I'd say hello. I'm Emyr, I live in the UK and I work for a software company, I'm not a developer in said company (yet - but I'm working on it). Spend most of my time trying to figure things out in C# and taking on small coding projects that the developers here don't have the time to write... Other than that....not much to say really.... To my dear fellow C9'ers: I would like to apologize for my behavior in the past few months regarding this issue of Spam. I solemnly swear to provide us with no more spam related long winded*rants for as long as I post on this forum. Even I've had just about enough with myself, I like jamie contemplated marking all my spam*related rantings as*"spam" themselves but I could not bring myself to leaving this dear forum where I can post embedded youtube clips not only MSN Soapbox vids. Thank you for putting up with myself. Good day, Minh Trng (a former spam guru) More... View All Our Microsoft Related Feeds

When I first started posting in forums (5 years ago at max web portal) i quickly learned you get nowhere posting "I think this" or "I think that". I found it much better to ..adjust things to the community - like:* "Does this bother you?" or "what should happen with this?" etc. On C9 - 4 years ago - i also learned "yelling" at ms.. did no good either. As such - I started trying to put both things together. (harp sound). The posters last week that correctly pointed out that id posted the same thing 3 times, or was becoming redundant - id like to apologize*too.* It was true. As Paolo knows, I have a habit of freaking out occasionally.* In this case I deleted a bunch of the "same" threads and replaced with the word "spam".* I replaced the index file at both channel9.ca and winnews.com with a spam image... and i deleted all recent images from channel9.ca* (this time i downloaded it all first.) Ive since put everything back (whistles down the lane) and will try to not repeat myself in future threads. 2 years ago I asked about forum member redundancy...* I mean - everyone runs out of original things to post about sooner or later. But.. it's C9 - you can never leave ;)* I will meekly add that the reason i freaked out - was that i was repeating myself on purpose - hoping MS might notice.* Did not mean to annoy 9ers. in closing - the ideas (list) i kept going on about - i really did/do believe in / were worth consideration thats why i over-reacted when they were called spam - then pointed out that it was rehashed. so ill try to post only new things... and now back to your regular c9 programming ;) edit: crossroads just means...* where from here?
