  6. Not a super important thing, but just curious. I write a lot of c++ code for my Ph.D. research (mechanical engineering), which tends to use ungodly amounts of memory, so application crashes are pretty common for me.* Is there any way that the reliability monitor can ignore these?* I have a reliability index of less than 2, only because my code crashes often.* (I need to solve matrix equations of > 3 million unknowns, so as you can imagine c# or other managed apps wouldn't do so well here.) 11. Open chat, let's hear about how you feel... Here's my story; My background is in Electronics. In the late 80's a group from Microsoft came into Ford Motor Company, Calibration Lab, to help us improve. (I was creating a Voice Recognition system for Ford and Mazda) We really needed help at that point. Not that we didn't have bright minds, we simply needed better solutions/methods. Every since then I've been faithful to a fault, and.... Today I remain the #1 Microsoft Fan. Ooh Rah! That being said, I'm seeing a big change. This is an exciting time for Microsoft fans. Many of you 9ers agree, I'm sure of that, and*some of you may not... Which is it for you, exciting...or not? Why? ;) More... View All Our Microsoft Related Feeds

  16. Hello all, I'm trying to make a WPF application that can zoom a canvas*to the mouse position. Something like google maps.*When I use the ScaleTransform and set the origin to the mouse position it jumps to another position and then starts zooming. I'm using the mousewheel event to adjust the scale. Now I'm trying to make it work by putting the canvas in a viewbox and adjusting the left, top, width and height property. 17. I just noticed the C9 sidebar gadget on the side there. I'm on XP at work here, but I was curious to see what it does. The description isn't very helpful, though: http://ms-os.com/Themes/AlmostGlass/images/icon-quote.gif Gadget Description wrote:Channel 9 is Microsoft’s developer community where you can learn about the latest technology and meet the people behind Microsoft products. From LINQ to SilverLight – Watch videos right on your desktop and hear about all the cool, new up-and-coming technologies. Check out the main site at http://channel9.msdn.com * I can sort of figure, through common sense and guessing about what is being said in the description, that this gadget probably shows the latest video and allows you to watch it (presumably in a flyout).*One suggestion to the team, however: in the gadget description, try to actually describe what the gadget does, not what C9 is. :P More...
