I suppose that is the answer I expected but since I respect your opinion it does carry weight. (As opposed to articles and reviews from people I do not know.) So I will give it a try but first a few simple questions. 1. I asume that Firetune has to do with tuning and not tunes. (as in itunes) 2. Are there any recommendations for settings and add ons? 3. Does it still default to Windows Media Player? 4. Will I get the full benefit if I don't make it the default browser while I am learning it.? Thanks!!

In an attempt to resolve a recent problem that ultimatly ended in a "crash & Burn," I tried installing Firefox, Safari in a hope that the problem was browser related. It wasn't. But it dis leave me with an overall question as to whether one browser is really better then another. I don't see any thread that actually addresses this but I may have missed it. I have a so-so broadband connection that delivers 1800 kbs at best. I am using IE7 and am pretty familiar with its ins and outs. I have no strong feelings about Microsoft so would not change as any sort of rebellion. I know there are strong feelings about this but I really would like to know what, if any, real benefits I would get that would compensate for having to learn a whole new browser. I see threads with problems on all browsers. Opinions please and thank you.

( Seth If there were empiracle evidence of faith it wouldn't be called faith. Now I know that is trite but it remains true. It is particularly true when ones "faith" is as weak as mine. If there were any such evidence there would be a lot fewer wars. Yours is an argument that you can't lose. But don't paint me as an apologist for religion because you would be way off base. I know that Politics and religion are connected far more then they should be but I think I would rather stick to the former. We don't really disagree all that much on the other. -

Randy Tried. In fact he made right to the original topic. But he got hijacked. Meanwhile Sarah Palin will be on Saturday Night Live tonight with Tina Fey. Set your you tube!! -

I should have added that I do not disrepect the believers rather then just not being offended by them. Who know one of them may be right but they sure as hell can't all be. -

I take no offence at Sky Daddy or anything else and neither does HE!! Although he prefers Heavenly Pappa as it is far less limiting. Believe it or not I like to think that I have a certain amount of faith (or is it hope or maybe wishful thinking.) BUT that same faith leads me to the logical and historically accurate belief that Relgion (not faith) will ultimatly fulfill all of its prophecys about armageddon. I hope there is more and try to believe it (maybe for the same logical problem that even you can't resolve.) Religion offends me, you do not. That being said I am not offended by people who practice and believe in their religions as long as they peacfully keep it among themselves and not try to impose it on me or anyone else. If someone wants to try and convince me to think their way they may feel free. Just don't try to kill me if I remain unconvinced. THE REAL PROBLEM WITH THIS WORLD IS THAT ONLY A SELCT FEW KNOW HOW TO CUL BITS OF A PREVIOUS POST AND ADD IT TO THEIR REPLY IN A NEAT LITTLE BOX. Heavenly Pappa will get them!!! -

You have hit one of the nails on the head regarding so called Health Plan. But there is more. I am 64 and living in Ireland where the ordinary health service is in pretty bad shape. BUT I get really good private health insurance for around €1,000.00 per year. If I were to change my permanent address to the US I could not even touch any meaning ful coverage for less than $1,000.00 per month. Exactly what good will McCain's plan to give me a $5,000.00 tax credit do. Can you imagine how quickly that will be absorbed as additional profit to the insurers. Fortunatly next year I will be eligable for medicare and then may be able to get an affordable wrap around policy. BUT that is just me. Hillary Clinton was reaally the only one on the right track but in her absence at least Obama seems to be closer to at least making insurance affrdable if not inexpensive. If he could only see Russia from his window he would reaally be the man. But then we can't expect miracles. -
How do I use my portable Hard drive

Going back to this briefly. I copied all the software that came with the WD drive and deleted it from the external. I was just curious to see if it would then be recognised as external storage. Went to My Computer and it was still listed under Hark Disk Drives. My only question (unless the answer is yes) is: Should I really care??? -

Well guys, unless anyone really wants to go back to where this started I think I will just sit back and watch this space. If you need a mediator or couples counseling I will be happy to help.:D -
Thanks Randy. There is no doubt about it. I do not have a good enough graphics card. I just think these guys who made this particular game went a bit over the top for its audience and that is why there are so many questions about it with google. I am not a gamer so it really isn't a problem for me. I played a one or two since and they were fine. I'll just uninstall and put it back in the box for when I upgrade some time in the future.

Hi Guys, According to my dxdiag Texture Acceleration is not available. Does this have anything to do with vertex shading? All the little test passes for direct x and direct draw. I probably just have a very low spec graphic card??

Well this turned out to be a lot of fun. All I wanted was to rant a little about the election and maybe a little arguments. Political Argument. SORRY GUYS!!!! -
well I reinstalled the game and available patch direct from site and it will not run. I get an error starting directx message and it quits. The site states that it will not run in machines where the video card does not support vertex shading and mine apparently does not. Since I am not about to get a new machine to play a game I am going to give it up unless someone here has aan answer. Actually I suppose I have my answer

If you decide on an American Keyboard or if that is all you can find then see How To Use the United States-International Keyboard Layout in Windows XP That is for XP but there would be no differnce in layout or key usage for Vista but the way to set pc may be different.
