Yesterday windows update installed KB2840149 on our DNS server. After the update (before the reboot), DNS was no longer working on this server(unable to browse to any site in IE from this server). Ping to any site could never resolve a name. The problem remained after the reboot. The server is no longer available via RDP. Still issues? View this thread

My computer has installed the same two updates (successfully according to update history) eleven times over the last 11 days. Why is it doing this? The updates are KB2656351 and KB2600217. Each time it takes more than 15 minutes to do it. View this thread

I received the notice to install KB2840149 on my system. After doing so it repeatedly caused my system to crash when booting up into Windows 7. It wasn't until I uninstalled the update did everything work fine. Is there anyone can assist me with this or help me report the problem to the proper people?Thanks. View this thread

Hey There, These two updates wont install on my pc, KB2600217 & KB2656351. It downloads fine and even when i shut down it sais "installing updates." But then when i log on again, the same two need to be updated? Please help View this thread

I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium on an x64-based PC, and I've been having issues with Windows Update (specifically, Error 80080005). In an attempt to solve this problem, I tried running sfc /scannow in cmd, but found that the service would not start. I tried applying the fix listed on this page ( http://support.microsoft.com/kb/959077 ) only to find that I could not proceed because my version of the registry key in question looks like this http://imageshack.us/a/img547/2525/blurf.png Could anypony please advise me on this? Windows security updates fail and I get error code 80070490 but I do not have my windows CD anymore. The laptop I'm using has windows 7 with a 64 bit operating system. I am not that tech savvy nor do I know 100% how to fix this laptop I have obtained from a relative. The computer itself is very slow and I've been trying to complete these failed updates to ensure that this is not the issue of my computer being slow. ANY help is appreciated. THANKSSSS! KB2808735 fails to install on Windows 7 x64. I have tried: Windows Update Microsoft Fix It, disk check, sfc /scannow, manually running the update, clean boot, disabling the antivirus, etc without any luck. The install continually fails with error code 80070490. Please help! View this thread
