Sooo frustrated... please help! I have a brand new PC running Microsoft Windows 7 Professional (X64 based pc) and for a few months has been blue screening on me and most importantly throws up the error code 80070002. I have been trawling websites for months, have read forum after forum, downloaded fix it tools etc without any success. I have followed ALL of Microsofts advice, I have deleted registry files, renamed them, downloaded the system readyness tool, manually downloaded updates, downloaded Microsoft Fix It, which informs me the problem is solved however when I go back in and select "check for updates" it again says it is unable to. I completely give up. I realise this is a very real problem as there is so much information out there but unfortunately I just can't find the fix to fix my pc :( I can't catch the blue screen memory dump error code as it always happens so quickly. I wont even be using my pc and it crashes on its own.... Please can someone help.... :( View this thread

I have a Windows 7 32-bit workstation. Windows update is trying to install KB 2506212, KB 2532531, KB 2584146 and KB 2620704. They always fail with Error Code 8024200D. I have followed the trouble-shooting tips and installed and run the Windows6.1-KB947821-v26-x86.msu (several times). This doesn't fix the problem and I appear to be in a loop on the tecnhical support site. I have tried selecting each update separately for installation and again, they all fail. Any thoughts? Thanks View this thread

Hello All I was wondering if anyone can help me. I am running Windows 8 (fresh on new machine) and have now started to have problems with Windows Update. It stops at 7% and then resets itself. I am protected by Norton 360 Premium but have switched off both the Firewall and the Virus Protection during the Update process (no success). I have also run the Troubleshooter (no success). I have also tried what I believe is a "cold reboot" where it resets the Update history etc (no success) Specifically, I have the following Updates that are failing: KB2795944 KB2785220 KB2799494 KB2769165 KB2812822 The reason for all five failing is given as Code 8007003. Thanks for reading and hopefully responding. David View this thread

I have had Windows Enterprise 7 installed on my Dell Inspiron computer by my client in 2011. (Originally I had Vista). Recently everytime I start or shutdown the laptop I get the message "Windows Update in Progress" followed by "Failed to update, reversing changes". This cycle continues quite a few times before the logon prompt appears (almost 10 min). I took it the machine to a repair centre - they deleted some "temporary" files, and it was OK for a while - the messages were not appearing. But recently the same problem started occuring again (regardless I am connected to internet). Can anyone tell me the location of the temp files so I can delete them myself. I do not have either Vista or Enterprise install CD so unable to reninstall. The Vista version was genuine because I purchased it along with the laptop. The Enterprise version is also likely to be genuine because the client was a large company - unlikely to use an unauthorised version.I first started experiencing the problem in 2012 - long after Enterise 7 was installed. Thanks View this thread

I updated from Vista Basic to Windows 8 and purchased 2013 Home & Student. I backed up my QuickBooks files before downloading. When I went to restore, the message was "File not found". So I downloaded QuickBooks 2012 again and now I have two of them and can't access the payroll files. I can work with the rest of the program, however. How do I solve this? View this thread

Anyone know what this is?? It's an update from 2009, I guess MS hasn't had a chance to getting a round to the description of it yet. :) The results from 'Googleing' this makes my head spin. I've asked Dell 'technical support'- talking to any species in any zoo would provide similar answers in my opinion; not that I'm inferring anything of course. Thank you. (this site rawks!) windows update worked fine until just after this update 12 days ago, I've visited H&S and tried most of the 'solutions' . And for the past few days most of the error codes are x8000FFFF. The following update was my last successful install. I've visited the LinkId's; KB's; Forums; and the problems increase exponentially while the solutions have declined. Have I been attacked and hacked. I installed AVG 2013 trial nearly three weeks ago and the program acts like it can't or won't do as advertised. I was seriously considering buying AVG now that I finally got my monthly funds. But if have to buy an A-V, I sure don't want one that isn't protecting my comp. My firewall settings are about as tight as I (in my limited user knowledge) get it. Still something is seriously faulty. And want to submit my product installation #'s but have lost them. I didn't intend to go this length of time w/o activation. Now I don't know what do. I can purchase another key but only am able to pay for it over at least two pay periods. the catch is the funds are monthly and gone within the first 10 to 15 days. $ 700 doesn't go far anymore. I downloaded the windows 8 release preview. Now i have a windows 8 pro on DVD and whenever it starts installing, a blue screen comes up, either something like pointers error or kernel security check failure. I've tried following relevant links to perhaps buy it online but this yields the same result. I can't find my windows 7 disc so i can't revert the system back either. View this thread
