since 5/22/2013,,kbs2600217,2487367,2468871,2656351,and2533523 have downloading everytime i install them..i went to update history..everytime i turned off pc these 5 updates installed..so i went to history..found 5 update neede tobe installed..installed them complete..soon as i finished i had 5 updates to install showing up in history tobe installed..help View this thread

I've run Windows update to install. Other updates install OK. I've attempted to install manually and also by install by shutdown/install.I've run MSFixit.wu . . . & also Windowsupdate-2.diagcab but no help. 64 bit computer of course. View this thread

tried online help..could not get system to run program to allow microsoft control of my pc..i have norton 360 premier edition..internet exrlorer,,with att yahoo..when i download program, it stop working and closes..the same 5 updates have been a problem for the last week ..everytime i turn off pc ,,5 updates are updating..everytime i turn it off..these updates can take upto 20 minutes to complete..the support for this has been disappointing..good side is as long as i don't turn of pc..no update occur..have a great day..clifton View this thread

i'm glade to be here , but I've questions that i hope finding replay for them : 1 - it is along time since the PC made an update ,may be it goes to 2 months since this last update every time making update it says " windows is up to date " . but after Dell company updated their " my dell support center " it says " my PC is at risk " and I've to make an update , but there is nothing happened as before . Windows 7 problems. All of a sudden I have the following problems with Windows 7 1. I cannot download updates for windows. 2. My previously installed Microsoft security essentials is gone and I cannot download it to reinstall it. 3. Windows defender will not run. 4. My indexing has stopped working and I cannot restart it. 5. My startup desktop background has changed to a blue background with a small bird in the lower right corner. I do not remember seeing that before. 6. The AVG program showed up on my computer and I do not remember installing it. I have since uninstalled it. 7. All of my previously installed programs seem to work properly, only the above mentioned windows components do not run properly. I get the following Error message: Windows update cannot currently check for updates, because the service is not running. You may need to restart your computer. Restarting did not help. I was able to download data to quicken and I was able to install the Google toolbar in Explorer 9. Those downloads worked. I ran Microsoft's malicious software removal tool and found no problems. I tried resetting Windows explorer to default values which did not seem to help. If I try to update the latest Windows update program by going to "Start/all programs/windows update" a new blank explorer window opens and nothing happens and the window will not close or minimize. When trying to install security essentials using Google Chrome I got the following error message. I just got an update "AMD sata controller" published 2-31-13 and it thing Blue screened me. Computer wouldn't restart even in safe mode, it would try to boot then crash with a top-half blue screen during the "Windows starting..." phase. I had to go back to most recent working config from the safemode menu, (F-8 menu) Lucky me as I had no system restore points ;) Anyway,I see now the update is in my queue again as windows rolled back my driver update.I would go to amd's site however windows update is so Vague about this patch the only data is: " "AMD sata controller" published 2-31-13"I have a corsair 120 gb SSD with wndow's install and a terabyte D drive.Any help would be appreciated. I have kaspersky and I am trying to renew my account with them, but due to a windows error I can not get my protection to work. I'm running Windows 7 64bit. I don't get an error message, what happens is it stays on the same update for hours. When i turned off the computer it had 40 updates and on update 32 it would not budge for 3 hours. I had to shut off via the power button and tried to update while i was logged into the computer and watched it not progress at all while installing.
