  2. Hello and Welcome jupiter61 to Extreme Tech Support - Free PC Help!! Just an observation: I would let the laptop dry and not try to power it up as this may cause short circuit.
  3. Hello crazzzi, Just thought I would add a bit more info. Heres your computer details. I would wait for one of the PROs to come online, they will tell you what is the best CPU you can buy.
  4. Hello BlueDevil. Welcome to Extreme Tech Support - Free PC Help! You can use this website to calculate your wattage requirement. It is normally pretty accurate. If they say that your wattage requirement is below 450W then can you please disconnect all fans and hardware which is not essential to start PC, and try again.
  5. Hello Paul, Do you want the exact same motherboard? OR A different one? If you want a different one can you please tell us what are your other hardware components (CPU, GPU, RAM, HDD).

  11. Hello Tootech, Heres a pic of one. From asus website: Debug with translation When system malfunction occurs, LCD Notice Board automatically detects for device failure and posts physical system errors on the LCD during POST. No more reading "gibberish to find out what´s wrong. They are literally called LCD POSTER
  12. Hello and Welcome to Extreme Tech Support - Free PC Help! No,it should have no affect. I believe that the BT Homehub is capable of more than 50 metres at least. They are just trying to confuse you. Almost all wireless adapters use 802.11b, g. If you are looking at playing online then I would recomend you to buy a 802.11n as they are 'the new generation', other wise if you just want to browse around on websites you should be fine with either a 802.11b or a g. Just a bit of background information if you are interested. The 802.11g is faster than the 802.11b. The 802.11g offers up to 54 megabites per second while the 802.11b only offer 11Mbps.
  13. Hello Everyone! I have one of them LCD Posters that came with my motherboard, Asus Maximus Extreme. It worked well for the first months but not it's stuck with the annoying blue light on and all it says is CPU INIT. I know that the CPU is working fine so I think it's a problem with the LCD poster. I've tried to disconnect it and connect it again, I even cleared the CMOS. Any ideas?
  14. Hello Anjomo, Welcome to Extreme Tech Support - Free PC Help! Have you tried a system restore to a point before you noticed the problem?
  15. Oki, Paul we will be waiting!
  16. It's a hard question, but I think that 'The Killers' with the song 'Human' are the best band/song of the moment.
  17. What is the best song/band (in your opinion) of the moment?
  18. Can you please open 'My Computer' right-click 'Properties' and tell us if it is detecting the 3Gb of RAM. You can also run this memory diagnostic test from Microsoft.
  19. Oki, thank you.
  20. On my laptop you have to press FN+F5. Try that If FN+F5 doesn't work, then check your laptop manual!
  21. Normally, you just have to plug it in and possibly press some of the FN keys if you have them. Try it and tell us if it works
  22. The PC is on other wise you wouldnt have fans spinning and lights. You just not getting any signal to the monitor. Can you connect the laptop to the monitor? If so try that
  23. Hmm, try using a different monitor. EDIT: Yeah, what beeceebee said. I was too slow :D
  24. When did this happen? Did it happen when you turned it off and then on? I'm not sure if you have a faulty psu, but i don't think so. Can you replace the psu, for another one that you may have?
  25. No 'signal input' issue: 1.Check that the monitor is well connected to the graphic card. 2.Try to remove and install your graphic card again. 'On/Off' button issue Check that the wires from the On/Off button are connected properly to the motherboard if you do not know how to do this please tell us what is your motherboard make and model. Hope this helps,
