Yes funny thing is I have two sets of practically new Epson cartridges because of a similar problem in red, but mine were sitting in a draw already so it wasn't as though I had to go and buy some specially, and after taking the printer apart I binned it!

As this is what I spent a fair amount of time doing last night thought I'd ask how you do yours
1. Manually search the manufacturers sites for the latest
2. use an on-line update application
3. Just use the device Manager and 'Update' Button
4 What is the point the ones I have work fine
Personally I go for the go find them myself option as I have doubts about whether on-line driver applications actually find the best driver

I had a similar problem with .net framework and resolved it by going into the control panel/add remove programs/ uninstalling it and then re-booted reinstalled it from the link by Randyl and the rebooted and then installed the program.
