Guest G Lykos Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Greetings! Used Add/Remove Programs to remove some Microsoft updates, for example "Security Update for Windows 2000 (KB926122)", in an attempt to rectify a system problem that seemed to have occurred as a result. Turns out that this was perhaps not the cause. In any event, the system is now fixed and operating normally, and I'd like to get current with relevant updates. Question - although the update above was removed as described, Microsoft Update does not now show that it needs to be (re)installed. How come? If a security update, and if in fact now not installed despite not showing up in Microsoft Update, am I now vulnerable? If I need to do this manually, how, and how do I figure out what? Thanks for any information. George
