  1. Taking the sides off the case is only really good for diagnostic purposes - if you suspect that the PC is overheating and you whip the sides off the case and it doesnt keep shutting down then YES its a case of too much heat. BUT the inside of a case is actually kept cooler with the sides on - if the fans are working as they should - Wolfey - you been sticking screwdrivers in cases again :D
  2. I would look into the flickering and freezing issue - this can be anything from the Monitor about to break or the MOBO being shot - just make sure you have a back up of what you need - just to make sure
  3. Either the file is too big to be put on the device - or you do not have the rights to that file
  4. Most fans do run all the time - its just the speed that varies - unless you have an old Vantec tornado and they sound like a hurricane is inside your pc - one of the loudest noises I have ever heard from a PC - even over my Linkin Park :D

  13. Try and run windows update and under optional updates there should be a driver for it - if not get the utilities disk that came with your computer - put it in another PC and run the driver to a memory stick and then install the driver - if that doesnt work then its fried

  15. If one of the programs has quarantined some of the files - then SAS is probably just picking up the remnants from inside the quarantined file as Randy mentioned

  18. Easiest way is to go into the C:/ drive and delete any of the Program files that you are POSITIVE that you have uninstalled/removed the program from

  21. Its already on, unless you turn it off, or use another firewall that overrides it
  22. It searches your whole PC emails included for whatever you type in - if for example you keep all your internet buys in a folder and you need to find it fast then its there at the snap of pressing CTRL twice :)
