  2. Thanks Wolfey The monitor did install straight away when I plugged it in,the problem is I can't get a 1600x900 resolution setting.I thought by using the installation disc it may in some way help,but my pc instantly shuts down when I insert it.My old monitor died.

  4. I have bought a new monitor(HP2009v).The recomended resolution is 1600x900 however this option is not available in my XP screen settings.Also when I try to install the manufacturers disc into my pc it just shuts down.Any suggestions guys?

  6. I've now downloaded Firefox which appears to work on all 3 user accounts.Although it looks to be quicker the type face on the pages appears feinter.Do I really need IE on my pc anymore?

  10. IE works fine on my setting but not on the other users.Does Firefox run alongside IE or replace it?
  11. Thanks for the advice guys.I'm kinda trying to head that way,hence another thread I've started this morning about my shared user.Can I import my favourites from msn explorer over to IE?
  12. I've tried switching their user account settings from Limited to Computer Administrator and its still the same.The screen seems to open/stay blank/then freeze.

Post moved Hi guys......My post was moved yesterday(my first).As such probably reads a bit strange.I'd tagged onto another thread where the guy had the same problem I was experiencing.Here was the problem:- Okay I have XP home OS I usually use MSN Explorer to do everything on the internet. I had MSN messenger and then downloaded the Live messenger. Now the problem. If I download Live Messenger I can never get into MSN Explorer until I totally delete Live Messenger. When I try and log in I always get: Messenger Is Not Installed MSN Messenger Service is not installed on this machine. It is a critical part of MSN Explorer and must be repaired before you can use MSN Explorer again. We'd like to repqir it for you now. I will then click the "Repair MSN now" button and I always get: MSN Explorer Error Reporting. Sorry to cause any confusion.
  15. I think that version must be the one with the bug in it.Same thing happening. Edit.Thanks guys.......I ended up downloading 8.1.0178 version and everything is back working fine.
  16. Hi guys I have the same problem with windows live messenger screwing up my msn explorer settings.Could someone please tell me the latest version I can download that doesn't have a bug in it? Many thanks.
