Ok, I'm probably not the first person to ask about this. Why on earth, can I not see any of my connected network printers under 'Devices and Printers' of Windows 8? The devices are without question, 100% connected and registered with the OS, as evidenced from their presence within the 'Print Queues' section of Device Manager, and various software packages, when accessing the 'Print' dialog. It seems that the packages of .Net Framework - Update KB4340558 - are damaged (wrong or missing hashes). Install fails with error 0x80092004 on Windows 8.1 clients and Windows Server 2012 R2. Also KB 4054566 (Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2) seems affected. I've now round about 10-20 confirmations around the world. One user found a log entry: ?Couldn?t find the hash of component: NetFx4-PenIMC? So I guess, the package is damaged/botched internally. Hi, I have a trouble shutting down my Dell Latitude E6510 laptop after upgrade from Win10 1709 to Win10 1803. The Windows "Shut down" command only shuts down the system but not the computer - the fans, led lights, screen backlight etc. remain on. I disabled Fast Boot and it didn't help. The Bios is updated to the newest version available. The PC uses i7 Q720 Intel processor for which there's no Intel Management Engine Interface available (there's obviously no point in trying to downgrade it). Would You have any suggestions? Dont know if i am posting in the right section but here i go (feel free to move it to other section of forum). I have been having problems such as explorer hanging and not responding upon using right click on say Storage Drives in my computer. And at the same time ive been having issues with bitlocker the drives would unlock but give me a (Parameter is incorrect and drive is not accessible error). Long story short in the https://answers.microsoft.com i started a tread with these problem`s, Someone poped up and said, Maybe you have a bad Item in your right click context menu witch would explain explorer Not responding... I used a tool to remove the concerned item from the context menu and at the same time it seems to have fixed the problems i have been having trying to unlock my bitlocker drives..... In any way possible can a context menu item give me problem's with bitlocker ? THIS is the question. Hi Technet, We are using WSUS on Windows Server 2012 Std. Before, all our clients are running Windows 10 version 1709. Recently, I found that some of them are upgraded to Windows 10 version 1803. And our WSUS is downloading some KB package to update for Windows 10 version 1803. May you advise which is the package on WSUS to upgrade our client to 1803? If there is this kind of package on WSUS, why aren't all our clients upgraded to 1803? Hi All, We have a mix of Windows 10 x64 clients, version 1607, 1709 and 1803. We deploy the updates for these versions each month. We're seeing a couple of odd issues that I suspect have the same root, but I can't figure it out. It's on all versions. The problem/annoying thing is these windows tend to either pop up without focus, so you start typing and nothing happens (nothing *seems* to have focus at the time) or they pop up behind everything else. This isn't a case of clicking off to do something else - you load ie, go to the site address, drum your fingers waiting for the prompt and either it pops up with no focus or pops up behind. Sometimes it works as expected though. What could be causing this? Is there anything we can do? *UPDATE I think this isn't just Windows 10 - I've just realised similar happens in Server 2016 - I've been in notepad, loaded an explorer window and when I click back on notepad it has focus, but the explorer window is still on top while i type away in notepad. Hi Techies, I am trying to set google as the default search Engine for Edge Browser and in 1703 release ADMX templates there is a GPO setting to set default search engine using an Opensearch XML file or URL. I enabled the setting and entered URL "https://www.google.com/searchdomaincheck?format=opensearch". But this is not effecting the browser. So I setup a small network with 3 computers. All of which have Windows 10 Professional. 2 of the workstations are logging in with a local user account. The 3rd is using a Microsoft Account. I shared a folder on one of the workstations that is using a local user account. The other workstation logging in as a local user account can connect to the share just fine. I get a popup asking for credentials, enter them in and bingo. The 3rd workstation with the Microsoft Account pops up asking for credentials as well but it's asking for a Microsoft email address and pin. Well there is no email address and pin to access this share. Even clicking to use other account doesn't give me an option to use a local user account. I ran in to this before and I had to change the computer using a Microsoft Account to use a local user account, then the popup asked for the correct credential format (username/password) There has GOT to be a way around this?
