Hi, when i make new shortcut for download folder with *explorer* and *space* in front of the path name, right click on folder and pin to taskbar, when the download folder open, at the same time open another folder (separate) "this pc" and i don't know why. This happens on W8.1 not on W7. On W7 it's very simple (with the same method but on w7 it work well). I have try many methods, but none of them work. Have any idea of how? Ok, I'm probably not the first person to ask about this. Why on earth, can I not see any of my connected network printers under 'Devices and Printers' of Windows 8? The devices are without question, 100% connected and registered with the OS, as evidenced from their presence within the 'Print Queues' section of Device Manager, and various software packages, when accessing the 'Print' dialog. It seems that the packages of .Net Framework - Update KB4340558 - are damaged (wrong or missing hashes). Install fails with error 0x80092004 on Windows 8.1 clients and Windows Server 2012 R2. Also KB 4054566 (Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2) seems affected. I've now round about 10-20 confirmations around the world. One user found a log entry: ?Couldn?t find the hash of component: NetFx4-PenIMC? So I guess, the package is damaged/botched internally. Customer is trying to run an rdp connection on their desktop to a unc path with an executable file. I get a popup that states "Open File - Security Warning", unknown publisher, and it give the unc path (\\server\filename.exe). If I click ok, the program executes ok. The customer doesn't want this warning. Have tried disabling UAC, putting .exe in inclusion list in GPEDIT.MSC (User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components >Attachment Manager- then set -Inclusion list). Have also tried allowing "Launching applications and unsafe files " in Internet Options. Lastly, tried enabling "Turn off the Security Settings Check feature " in GPEDIT.MSC. At my wits end. I have a HP EliteBook 820 G1 and cannot set up the biometric option on my device. I go to the biometric device settings and it shows up but once i try to enable it, it says "The selected fingerprint reader has no management application installed" I also downloaded the program HP Client Security and when I try to add my fingerprints it does not read them. I opened the BIOS menu to see if the biometric was disabled but it is not, its enabled. It also gives me the option of accessing the BIOS menu with my fingerprint , but since I have not been able to set it up I wasn't able to access the menu with that option. Do I need to install another program? or is there something wrong with the sensor? When I accessed the BIOS menu I was able to scan my fingerprint but since I don't have it set up I couldn't access the menu with that option. More...

Unable to run and install the hp multimedia keyboard Driver for windows Vista, I think that the app doesn't recognize Windows 7 as OS, but if I choose the drivers for Windows XP, the install goes fine without any problem, but the the display on screen doesn't work.
