Searching for Tablet PCs again...
NewsBot posted a topic in Microsoft Products Support & Discussions
The Virginia Tech laptop store opened yesterday, so I finally got a starting point for tablet PCs that are powerfull to meet VT's high requirements. I came the Toshiba Portege M700, which I have configured to have, among other things, a 2.6GHz Core 2 duo procesor, 4 gigs or RAM, and dual digitizer/touch input for the screen.* It also meets all of my other requirements, like the high screen resolution, having bluetooth and N WiFi, as well as the small size, media reader, and fingerprint reader.* The graphics chipset seems to be above decent as well. Still, I'm not going to buy a laptop until August, so I'm hoping that something even better comes out by then.* Does anyone have a favorite Tablet PC of this calabor to recommend? More... Adobe guru to improve Windows interface http://ms-os.com/Themes/AlmostGlass/images/icon-quote.gif Article wrote: It looks like Mark Hamburg, an Adobe Systems Photoshop and Lightroom programming guru, will be leading work to give Microsoft Windows a better user interface. And given the dramatic user interface differences between earlier and later Adobe projects that Hamburg worked on, that raises some very intriguing possibilities. ... Given that I find the current Windows experience really annoying and yet I keep having to deal with it, this opportunity was a little too interesting to turn down. ... "We wanted Lightroom to seem elegant, to exhibit grace, to show an attention to style beyond the utilitarian aspect that dominated Adobe's products up to that time. We wanted a richer UI experience," Hamburg said. More... View All Our Microsoft Related Feeds

At Microsoft in Islin NJ. It was about Silverlight 2.0, it was very informative I learned a lot. Silverlight looks awesome and I can't get over the browser CLR. I never imagined that I would be writing C# client side any time soon. I also learned that VS 2008 has better JS debugging, which has little to do with Silverlight (besides the fact that it uses JS in 1.0) Anyway, good time and free pizza. I think I will go again. The End. More... View All Our Microsoft Related Feeds

So, apparently tonight there's an episode of CSI:NY that revolves pretty much entirely around Photosynth and forensic crime scene reconstruction. The things is, as opposed to the usual "Movie OS" we all know and love, this time the software is actually there and the actors are running it live. Pretty cool, if you ask me... or even if you don't :) More... View All Our Microsoft Related Feeds
