Hiya guys. I am trying to find a game that I always used to play a few years back......I don't know if anyone will know what I'm talking about! Right I'm not sure if it was a game that came on my computer....it may have been, but basically the idea of the game was to create a system on screen using items such as tubes, matches etc to make something happen.....example below .....so if i would have a screen in front of me with just say 2 rockets on it, and a couple of tubes....the idea was to work out how to get the rockets to light and explode by using the equipment i had in front of me (i could add like extra tubes, balloons, matches, anti-gravity pads etc) you could make the ball roll by creating a ramp, then the ball would go through a bent tube which would change its direction then the ball would maybe land on a detonater that would blow a wall futher in the 'system'..... by blowing this wall another ball could be released which would free a balloon, which would then pull a pin from a lighter to create* flame which would light the rockets and they would blow up....... on*different levels*different things could be used; like a hamster in its wheel to make a rotating belt move, a tin opener to make a cat run. there*were levels where you had to get people in houses*and things too. * i can picture the game and it's really bugging me cos id love to play it again!! I really hope someone can help me. thanks!:D More... View All Our Microsoft Related Feeds

Looks like my 7-days without internet have been extended to a whopping MONTH. This is awful: No internet = no Xbox Live, either. And no working on Continental 8, and having to use schools computers to sift through my 200 junk email a day - something Outlook usually does for me. This SUCKS. Basically, we needed to change the name on the phonebill, so we phoned BT and told them they didn't need to change anything when we changed the name on the bill - as we were instructed to do by TalkTalk. But of course, BT did change stuff.. and now we've got to re-register as new customers because of stupid conflicts. *sigh* (But: 1 June = Laptop day! Once the web gets back, I can order my brand spanking new HP tx2050 :)) More... View All Our Microsoft Related Feeds

I have seen an interview with a dude who really believes in crop cicles. He thinks that these are answers from an extraterrestrial intelligence (answers to the*signals that have been send by the NASA in the 70ths)*and that this is the way how they communicate with us. He also thinks that when we "awake"; he means that all people accept UFOs; they will show themselves more publicy. I don't believe in anything he said,*but*how is it with you? Anybody believing in crop cicles being the work of an extraterrestrial intelligence? More... View All Our Microsoft Related Feeds

It's been 6 months since the release of Visual Studio 2008. What can we expect, simply from a language perspective, from C# or Visual Basic? All I ever hear about is MVC and Silverlight, whats happening at the lower level? things like Linq are incomplete, so what are the changes happening there then? There are things like parallel extensions, but they just help code execute quicker (sounds ungrateful doesn't it?). Is dynamic language functionality to be prevalent in C# 4.0? Is there to be another rift between C# and VB where they add langage features unavailable in in other? What gives? More... View All Our Microsoft Related Feeds

Brian Harry just released some info on VSTS 2008 SP 1. It is a great big list of many improvements. The next version of VSTS is code named "Rosario" (I think that Rosario is a resort on Orcas). Does anyone know anything else about VS 2008 SP 1, which I suppose VSTS 2008 SP 1 will be released with. I know that we should expect ADO.NET entity framework along with SP 1... But what else? Does anyone know anything about the release after SP 1, what is the code name, Rosario is only the code name for TS, not for the complete VS... All we have now is a CTP of that parallel LINQ-thing...? What will the future bring? .NET 4.0? A new run-time? A ribbon in VS (I am hoping)? ("The future holds many surprises" was printed on the T-shirts at the PDC where Visual Studio .NET 2002 was introduced - was it Beta 1 or Beta 2?) More... View All Our Microsoft Related Feeds

Is it possible to do inline string concatenation in a #define? For example: #define SuffixDefine(Suffix) class MySuffix { }; SuffixDefine(World) would result in: class MyWorld { }; ??? Is it possible to combine the text "My" and "World" in the define? Another example: #define InlineConcat(A,B) AB would combine A and B at compile time rather than runtime. More...
