http://trolltech.com/28012008/28012008-opensourceletter Pricetag is estimated at around $155 million. A bargin imo compared to Sun's $1 billion dollar acquisition of MySQL. Trolltech is the authors of Qt, a cross-platform framework for developing GUI applications and the foundation of the KDE desktop. This is somewhat interesting seeing how Nokia invested some money into developing the competing GTK+ toolkit (the toolkit behind the Gnome desktop). More... View All Our Microsoft Related Feeds

Anyone aware of an online service or desktop app that can take my javascript code (or HTML tags) and properly indent them and without inserting a line break after so many characters for long lines.* TidyOnline seemed promising but it seems to insist on modifying my original code adding new attribs and such and even then inserting line breaks after 80 characters. Basically if i give: hello I'd expect back: <div> *** <span>Hello

I can't take it anymore. The videos on channel 9 *never work* Who's even maintaining this claptrap? This is the single most unreliable and broken site I've seen come from Microsoft, ever. How is it even possible that nobody is aware? This doesn't work, http://channel9.msdn.com/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=239845 This doesn't work, http://channel9.msdn.com/Showpost.aspx?postid=236023 This doesn't work, http://channel9.msdn.com/Screencasts/125041_codecoverage.wmv This doesn't, on and on. There's a huge number of videos on C9 that do not work. Just last week, 90% of the videos were broken 90% of the time. Completely randomly. I am sitting around like am idiot pressing "Play, Cancel, Play, Cancel,Play, Cancel" for 5 minutes straight... And Idecided it's in my best interest not to continue visiting this site. I can almost answer my own question here, I think the recent spammers have been real people, people with a horribly sad job, but still real people. According to IP addresses, nearly all from the same area in China, all using the same ISP, etc... I could be wrong though, it could be bots running from that location, and I started to look at a few CAPTCHA and non-CAPTCHA spam blocking solutions. I'm more of a fan of the non image based stuff, like these: Stopping spambots with hashes and honeypots Subkismet - The Cure For Comment Spam but I also was interested in both of these, mostly because they have at least some purpose beyond just their CAPTCHA function... reCAPTCHA http://research.microsoft.com/asirra/ Overall, putting anything visible seems like a real annoyance to normal users, one extra step/click while posting... but it has been bouncing around in my head tonight anyway so I thought I'd see what you folks thought about the topic.
