I am using PC with Atom 230 @ 1.60 Ghz Processor, 1 Mb [DDR 2] ram, Intel 945 GCLF mother board i am unable to install xp sp3, while the process of installation after 1 st restsrt of my pc i am getting an error message "Press any key to boot from cd..... unable to load the operating system" I cheked the Hard drive and cable, no read or write error blocks, but.... can anybody help me ?? I am using windows 7 64-bit. The recent updates installed Explorer 10. My problem is that since the update on opening explorer I appear to have two favorites bars. The second bar soon disappears under the first bar. If I click on ‘save as’ to save a pdf to my computer both favorites bars appear. I think I was infected bcos I downloaded some freeware.. I tried uninstalling all the programs related to it in control panel and changed the settings in Google Chrome but everytime I open Chrome, the Delta Search page will come up (http://www1.delta-search.com/?affID=121562&babsrc=HP_ss&mntrId=42F21216D8C73F4A) Btw I am using Windows 8 and have no idea how to navigate through it smoothly. Everything is soooo different!! Can someone please help me out?? Do I need to remove the Delta search from my registry? How? Hi, I am using Windows 8 on my computer at University, where Internet works through a proxy server. I can access all websites through different browsers, but I can't update Windows. When I click on Check for updates, sometimes it hangs up for a minute or two, and then starts checking. Anyway, every time it ends up with the Error 8024402F. Also, I am having problems with updating Windows Apps (like Mail, Weather, etc...). I can update Windows and Apps without any problem through an Internet USB stick, which works without proxy settings. Please let me know if it is possible to fix this issue. Thanks! View this thread

I keep getting emails from people in my contact list that did not send them. I think it may be a virus hooked to messenger which they may be using but I don't. They did not send the email themselves and don't know how they got sent. The emails say things like ....Hey...I saw this online today and thought you might be interested in checking it out. Then a website address is provided. When I used hotmail someone suggested adding a contact to my list that was something like *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. This would make that contact the first on my list and for whatever reason it worked. The contact is still there but since Outlook took over, I am getting the pseudo emails again. Anyone know why? I recently tried to uninstall MSE using a program called Advanced Uninstaller. It uninstalled and thenscanned for 'leftover'. At that time I checked everything, but there were still 10 items that could not bedeleted. I did not not those items at the time.After many failed attempts, I made a restore point of one week previous and restarted my computer.I then used Revo Uninstaller to try to uninstall the program and I got this message:Microsoft Security Client Installation error:The Microsoft Security Client Installation Wizard can't find files that are necessary to complete theinstallation. To restart this program, please download the installation again from the Microsoft SecurityClient web site again.I did this and got this message:Error code: 0x0070715.I originally tried to uninstall MSE as I wanted to get rid of the constant warning that my computer was not secure.I went to recommendation and was not able to fix it. This might have been a false reading as my computer alwaysstated it was secure. The green light was on.I thought I could uninstall MSE and then reinstall it. No go for now.I am using Malwarebytes in alongside MSE. For the last year I have been unable to install these updates. I tried using windows update to do it, I tried to download them manually, I tried to move around all sorts of files and dll's to make it work. None of the advice online worked (surprise). So now I am here. The really crummy part is this is a registered and activated version of Office 2007 and this really should work, but it doesn't. Help me! Hello, I really got a problem. It is because when I turned on my computer, all of my apps always disappear, and all of my files will delete everytime I shut down my Windows 8 PC. Everytime I log in, in the Start screen, it always display now the "Store, Internet Explorer, and Desktop" alone. Then I realized that all of my apps were uninstalled. I try to go in the store, and there was 16 updates, but when I attempt to install them, they all failed. It displayed an error of number: 0x80246007. And the other thing is that my files were all deleted. In the desktop there is always a display of "You've been signed in to a temporary profile". Please fix this ASAP. Thank you :) ~ Howell G.
